We hired Brett on 3/16/23 and paid him a $500 deposit via venmo, in September we started seeing multiple posts about Mr ******************** ghosting people on their wedding day. After speaking to Mr ******************** we decided we were not comfortable moving forward after hearing the same story of him ghosting 20 couples on their wedding day. Mr. ******************** became defensive and told us he would not give us any of our money back and threatened to *** me for defamation of character. At this point he is stealing money from people with no intentions of rendering services. Im in personal contact with multiple couples who all are dealing with the same is*** from this man. Please steer clear of him! In my documentation I included 3 pages of names of people Brett has scammed since September 2023.Customer response

On 4/5/23, I hired Brett Higgins Music to DJ for my wedding. A $500 deposit was sent to the owner to hold the service date. On 4/13/23, a $100 payment was made to Mr. Higgins. On 4/26/23, a $200 payment was made to Mr. Higgins. On 6/21/23, a $100 payment was made to Mr. Higgins and on 7/5/23, another $100 payment was made to Mr. Higgins totaling $1000 in payments made to him. On 9/29/23 at 9:02PM, I reached out to Mr. Higgins informing him that I no longer will be utilizing his services and wish to receive a refund of the funds that were paid. To which he responded and said “refunds take a bit on my end.” On 10/8/23 at 12:10PM, I reached out again asking for a refund. At 5:05PM, he stated that he typically doesn’t issue refunds for up to 90 days and if he gets any bookings he will link up with me. To which I replied stating 90 days comes out to be the end of December, to which he agreed. On 12/1/23 at 6:51PM, I reached out to Mr. Higgins following up on the refund. He stated that he will get something over to me soon and that he’s been slowly getting back on his feet. I reminded him that we both agreed that 90 days ended up being end of December. On 12/16/23 at9:29AM, I reached out to Mr. Higgins following up on the refund, to which he did not respond. 12/23/23 at12:26PM, I reached out again with the same message, to which Mr. Higgins did not respond. 12/27/23 at 12:08PM, I reached out to Me. Higgins stating that we need to agree to an exact date and end date as well as an amount of a refund. To which he agreed that we would discuss. He mentioned that later that date he would reach out with an agreement. When I reached out to Mr. Higgins later that evening. He did not respond and hasn’t since.Business response

Hello,
This situation has since been resolved, and I have already began paying Ms. ***** her refund of $500. She was first paid $100 on January 6th of 2024, via VenMo. We have agreed to $100 per week until the $500 balance is paid. Which should fall on, or around, February 2nd. This all should, hopefully, be dismissed.
