  On 10/13/21 I bought a Puppy from this pet store. I paid 5,500 for a French Bull dog. French Bulldogs are short and chunky. As my dog got older, I noticed she is getting tall, long legged, long in size also Thin. I questioned this because this is not what a French bulldog looks like. I started to do search online. " Why is my French Bulldog long legged" Each site I go to says that it's not a pure breed. I paid a lot of money for this pure breed. I started to find That the mix she could be is a Frenchton, which is a French Bulldog/ Boston. I have owned Boston's before and she does act like a Boston. Now I have people asking what kind of dog is she? I tell them and they tell me they have never seen one with such long legs. As I have been saying also. Frenchton's are a breed but nowhere near as expensive. I have contacted Chris the owner of the pet store and he tried to assure me she is a French Bulldog. Now he won't respond to any of my messages. I was going thru the pup's paperwork and noticed that there is no information on the DAM, which also tells me something is not right. I want to breed her but without this information on the paperwork certificate I can't breed her and get the best price for her pup's. I have tried to work things out with Chris, but he won't even call me. I also told them when I bought her, I didn't want a puppy Mill pup and I think this is what I got. The certificate that I have has no information on the DAM which is the mother I want to keep this dog, but I also don't think I should pay the price of a French Bulldog when what I have is a Frenchton. I have pictures of the certificate and her and a website that shows what Frenchton's look like.

  Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/04/05) */ I have spoken to this customer many times about this already. She has all the paperwork for her French Bull Dog proving that it is indeed a purebred. This includes registration numbers of the parents as well as the registration paperwork for The American Canine Association which is is registered with. When I spoke to the customer before she did state that the dog is a little bit taller and slimmer then what you might think of when picturing a French Bull dog. This is actually good in this situation because that means the puppy will be healthier and less prone to the typical health issues a smaller and chunkier French might have. I know she probably had an idea dog in mind since she is looking to breed it but we are not in control of genetics and cannot promise the final look of any puppy. She has never called the store and asked to speak directly with me. Our only point of contact has been via email. Pictures of the puppy have not been shown to me either. All she has told me is that people are telling her it is a Frenchton. No vet records disputing the breed of her dog have been supplied either. Out of all the puppies we have sold here she is the first and only customer to question the breed of her dog purchased from us. I don't live near the store so I haven't been able to bring her in to show Chris. This dog is very tall, and long and thin. Not what a Frenchie should be. She also weighs the size of a male dog and she is not even full grown yet. The strength of this dog is so great that she can pull me across the yard. I have resent the pictures of the certificate that there is no info on the mother. I will be doing a DNA test. I have talked to Chris and he told me it is expensive to have a DNA test done and has tried to talk me out of it. Please type in (why is my Frenchie so tall) and you will find that what comes back at every site is " Not a Purebred". Frenchie's don't usually bark, she barks all the time. They talk not bark. I have read some of the comments on their site, Not all good. I will be taking them to court if this can't be settled the right way. I feel I have proof that she is not a full Frenchie. I have plenty of sites that I am on and facebook sites that tell me she is a mixed breed. The puppy was represented to me as a purebred French Bulldog. As such that is how I represented it in my store. You do have the contact information of the breeder on the paperwork and are more than welcome to reach out to them with these questions. Perhaps they can put your mind at ease. I know you have mentioned a DNA test before and while I did say it was expensive to do one I did not try to talk you out of doing one. I have the certified Pedigree paper with the info on the Sire, but nothing is filled out on the Dam side. The DNA spot is also blank. I will be in touch with Chris in May when I pick my sister up at the airport. I do not get up that way very often. I will bring Skye in and you will see the difference I am talking about. I have checked with the breeder information, and this is a puppy mill breeder and you told me she wasn't from a puppy mill. From what I have read on Heather's site she breeds pups constantly. I will continue to look into this matter. Not sure if the BBB is sending pictures to Chris so he can see what I am talking about. I try to send them to him but the email bounces back to me. So I assume your not getting my emails or your not accepting them.
