April 10, 2024- I had scheduled an appointment with ************* tattoo (*****************************, address *************************************) for August 24, 2023. I gave her 150 deposit via credit card on July 20, 2023. After booking, and paying I received a letter stating there is a zero refund policy (this was not mentioned at all in any text exchange). I met with ************* on August 24, 2023 for a consultation. I did not, at that time get a tattoo. It was scheduled for a later date of December 30, 2023. On November 1, 2023 I reached out to cancel due to a herniated disc, and asked for a refund. I was told that I could not get a refund, but she would hold an appointment and deposit for when I was ready. On November 15, 2023 I said I could reschedule for February 2024. I was asked for another deposit, and told that that time rescheduling would be fine. I stated there was already a deposit on file. I was rescheduled to February 26, 2024. On February 25th, 2024, she reached out to reschedule, saying there was a family emergency. The appointment was rescheduled for March 11th, 2024. I showed up on March 11th, 2024 at 6:00pm and no one was home. I reached out asking what was going on and did not receive a reply until March 13th, 2024 saying, "My schedule is by appointment only, I am currently booking for evenings starting at 6pm". I have reached out multiple times since March 13, 2024 and I have not had any replies. I can see that she has viewed my messages, but stopped looking at them on April 4, 2024. Looking at the BBB website, there is a complaint similar to mine, placed January 2024. ************* is also, according to the ** Body Art ********* at *********************************************************** practicing under and expired license, even when I specifically asked her, in our first meeting, if she was up to date on all her licensures. At this point, I would like a full refund. I have included the text message exchange.

During the period March 2, 2023 through April 22, 2023 I paid Miss Kait’s Tattoos three $150 deposits totaling $450 for tattoo services that were not rendered due to Kait’s unethical and lackadaisical business practices. Kait seems to feel that she can cancel/reschedule and disregard appointments regularly, without any consequences to herself with regard to the deposit she's already received. Once you get tired of the constant cancelations ("reschedule" attempts as she prefers to put it) and excuses, and you yourself finally cancel altogether, she refuses to refund your deposit. She's ignorant enough to think stating she's still willing to complete the tattoo for you after such a run around from her is some kind of recourse! In my case, I made 3 deposits totaling $450 in advance of 3 appointments she anticipated needing to complete my tattoo. For the first appointment, she contacted me 1 day in advance requesting to tattoo someone else instead, then didn't respond to my attempts to reschedule that appointment when her proposal of the very next day didn't work for me. So, I patiently waited for the second appointment and when I showed up in her driveway, checked my phone to see she messaged me 20 minutes prior to my scheduled time while I was already well into my 1 hour and 15 minute drive asking me to come back 4 hours later as things were "chaotic." I left and ultimately canceled the final appointment I had scheduled with her 3 weeks in advance. When I realized how much I overpaid Kait in deposits with no tattoo to show for it, I made several considerate attempts to rationalize why she should return my $450 to no avail. She has excuses for everything and references her "no refund" deposit policy even though SHE is the one violating it! There are no consequences for her and she takes no accountability for her own actions. She preaches kindness and yet has the most unethical business practice I've ever encountered. Details and supporting documents are attached.
