Servicing date started around July and is to be " completed" today 3/22/22. This company stated in txt messaging that they were more than capable of re routing our pellet stove exhaust and fresh air piping. We trusted there word. They ended up using gas hot water heater exhaust pipes and an accordion type pipe to go around plumbing. When I went up to do a cleaning I realized that suite was on the floor board above it in two locations. I then proceeded to get an expert to inspect the work. We then listed off everything that was wrong with the install and proceeded to write a paper explaining why this was done dangerously. We paid this company 1275.00 to have it done correctly and safely. When we brought this problem to the contracting company and told them that we were taking this off the bill they refused to deduct. They did meet us in the middle by deducting 50%..$637.50. However the work they've done has been completely unsatisfactory not to mention dangerous. I need help with what I should do. Bottom line if they told us we should outsource the pellet stove piping we would've done so ASAP and this wouldn't be an issue.

I’d stay away from Northeast Contracting of New England. After we entered into contract in spring 2021 and I gave deposit, they mostly ghosted me for a couple months. They’d show for a couple hours at most, sometimes 20 minutes, then rush off to work jobs they told me were higher priority. I’d be told they were coming many times, and they’d never show or even tell me they weren’t coming to work. The owner stopped taking my calls and wouldn’t respond to text messages or voice messages. The final straw was when the sheetrock repairs they did in my kitchen collapsed when my painter started. Ya, I got photos of that. They were ok with my cancelling all remaining work, but they insisted on charging me for material they bought and never used. Some of that material they even admitted was the wrong stuff for the job. They also refused to show evidence of the actual costs of the material, and added some jacked up bogus delivery charges. They also tried to charge me extra for the s***** sheet rock repair, and extra for basic plumbing work that their plumber admitted was part of his normal charges. And then he charged me for work he didn’t do - I did it ! I showed evidence that I did it, he showed nothing ! It took almost 18 months to get a small claims court hearing. At the hearing, I had lots of evidence and exhibits. He had nothing. The judge seemed sympathetic and understanding of everything I laid out. The decision finally came after a few weeks, and I got only a fraction of my money awarded to me. The decision was written like the judge heard none of the testimony, and just wanted to end it quick. I filed to reconsider, and got denied by the judge. Again, she didn’t seem to understand any of what I reported. I report this here because the business doesn’t show up on google maps so I can’t write a google review. Shame on me for not investigating this contractor better. There are many good building contractors out there, this is not one of them.
