I had a new home built in Canterbury New Hampshire and had the foundation done by 4McNeil Company. I have called and left messages to receive a return telephone call in regards to a crack I have in my foundation floor. I was told this was sub-contracted out and someone would call me. I have made several calls to this company and have not received another call. I have been trying for two months to resolve this with no result.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/23) */ Contact Name and Title: Stacey M***** Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: *******@comcast.net It's normal to have shrink cracks or settling cracks no much can be done about them to "repair". Aesthetically, you can put dry hydraulic cement from Home Depot into it to fill it and just leave it. Moisture will cure it. Subcontractor was supposed to contact homeowner, this was the explanation that was given to me. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/08/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I feel as though i paid for a complete foundation unblemished and complete. This i between contractor and subcontractors and not the home owners to resolve. If it is so easy to repair then why won't they do it. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/08/31) */ Having cracks in a foundation is common. Concrete expands and contracts with the ground underneath it causing movement. Preparation of the ground is key to having a foundation that would limit cracking. As with all of my contracts I do not warranty any cracks in foundations for this reason, because its that common. You had mentioned that it was between contractor and subcontractor. I would agree with you, but you contacting me directly so I was trying to resolve the issue with you because you hadn't contacted your contractor. I can try and direct you and advise you of other remedies for the cracks as I originally stated but because of the common attributes of concrete its hard for me to warranty them without recurring. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/09/21) */ Hello no i do not feel at all resolved. But i would like to keep the complaint with the BBB for future customers of this company. Best advertising is word of mouth. I would never recommend this company to any contractor. Thank you for your time. Sincerely. *********
