I wouldn't want to leave a negative comment about Marquis Roofing, but I have to because I am a subcontractor and I worked for this company for about two years. But last year they didn't pay me a total of about $ ****** for various jobs that I did. I would like to be paid. I have called and texted asking to be paid, but I had no response from the owner who is ***, until I left a bad comment on ****** maps and *** sent me a text from another number and told me that he would send me a thousand dollars every week and I waited for some payment but I didn't receive anything. I asked him to pay me again and again he lied to me saying that he would pay me, I have realized that he is a person who does not know how to keep his word and only lies, the only thing I am looking for is for him to pay me for jobs that he delivers finished and surely the dreams of those jobs have already been paid, but he does not pay me

At Marquis Roofing, we strive to maintain professional and respectful relationships with all of our subcontractors and team members. We are aware of this individual's concerns and regret that they feel this way. However, we strongly disagree with the characterization of events in this review.We take payment issues very seriously and always aim to resolve any disputes through proper documentation and communication. In this case, there are discrepancies regarding the scope of work performed and the billing submitted, which have prevented us from moving forward without further clarification.We have made multiple efforts to reach a fair resolution, including proposing a payment plan, but unfortunately, there has been a lack of follow-through from the other party regarding necessary documentation and next steps.Our company is committed to honoring legitimate work completed and verified through the appropriate channels. Contacted for adding a roof over a deck and while talking with an agent, went into possible doing a siding job. Received a quote and agreed to the job. Couple of weeks and the company came and did it. On completion, found some items not satisfied with and ***, owner, came, we discussed the items and he left. A couple of weeks later sent an e-mail to the office and asked for progress in the complaint. A week later, contacted *****, agent from before, left a message about the complaint and asked an estimate to repair a problem that arose from the siding complaint. Gave two days and would leave a review. Suggested a not happy review. Now the review of it all is not satisfied with communications and entirety. Perhaps someone might look for alternative company, and quotes. Have been in business in early years and never wanted any negativity and always settled with satisfaction.Marquis Roofing and Exterior Design, LLC

I wanted to address the situation regarding the siding installation and the roofing concerns. When we discussed your request to cover the rolled roofing that extended up the wall, I explained that cutting or folding the roofing material could lead to leaks, as this type of material is prone to cracking when altered. At the time, it seemed we were on the same page, and you appeared satisfied with the explanation.I also recall that you were pleased enough with our work to ask for a quote on building a roof over your porch, which I mentioned might take some time as we dont typically do extensive framing work. I apologize if the delay in getting back to you caused any frustration.I want to assure you that my primary concern is to avoid causing any damage to your roof and to ensure that any work we do is up to the highest standards. I apologize for any distress this situation may have caused.To clarify, when we completed your roof in April, we applied rubber over the existing metal roof without removing any previous materials. At that time, your furnace and chimney pipe were functioning properly. If there had been an issue with the chimney pipe, it would have likely caused problems immediately after the roof installation.Upon receiving your call in July about the chimney pipe and the carbon monoxide detector, I immediately reached out to express my concern and offered to cover the cost of a heating specialist to ensure everything was safe. Your safety is our top priority, and I was pleased that you seemed satisfied with this resolution.Later, you mentioned there was bare metal visible on the roof, suggesting we had not applied rubber to the entire surface. I assured you that our team had thoroughly inspected the roof and provided photographic evidence of the complete rubber application. Despite this, I offered to personally re-inspect the roof and address any issues, and you seemed content with that solution as well.We take great pride in our work and customer satisfaction, and we stand by the quality of our service.Review fromGary L

They arrived first thing in the morning and worked until evening, ensuring that every detail of the job was done perfectly despite the heat.
