First contact was on 4/19/22. Estimate provided for both a Bathroom Remodel and repairs to an existing deck. Met with me to take the initial 1/3 deposit upfront. Check in the amount of $5,000.00 was provided and cashed the same day. Work was to start to start on May 2nd. Heard nothing about starting so I texted him on 5/1 to see if we were on target to start. He wrote back on the 2nd stating he would start on the 3rd. No show. texted him on the 4th. He still wants to do the job so I waited. texted him on the 5/10 to see if he would still do the job. No response. texted him on the 11th asking for my deposit back. Apologized on the 11th stating family difficulties. Stated he would return material he had already ordered and that he would return my money ASAP. Followed up with him regarding the return of my deposit again on 20th & 21st. His response was he would return my money as soon as the 23rd. Reported him to **** ******* on the 24th. He responded with an unprofessional and disrespectful text which was the check was in the mail. As of June 27th he is not responding to **** ******* so I am reporting him to the BBB and will be contacting the police.
