Stewart's Ambulance Service - Keene NH has a contract with Exeter Hospital for transporting patients. On 12/12/22 I have lost 11K $ of Jewelry being transported to Portsmouth Hospital, and they claim I did not have any jewerly. No one to date has not taken responsibility. Exeter Hospital claims that my diamond earings (3) and a very nice custom made necklace was removed and the procedure is to transport items with the patient.

The following is a statement from the Patient care report from our EMS Staff "PT Belongings were left in room".  The contents are usually in a bag supplied from the sending facility.  In this case it was Exeter Hospital.  The patient was being tranfered to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.  Patient should check with Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Our notes state "Belongings were left in room".  The sending facility puts all belongings in a bag, the bag stays with the patient.  The belongings were let in patients room with patient. The sending facility did not list items in patients bag in their paperwork.  There is no evidence of jewerly or what items where in the patients bag.

Spoke with Crew further.  They were given a patient personal property bag from nurse at Exeter Hospital.  Crew was not informed of any valuables.  Usually when there are valuables it is reported to our crew and crew lists items.  This was not done.

Interestingly enough, my billing staff has spoken with patient several times and at no time during the coversations did she report missing property of any kind.  This is the first time hearing about this. We spoke to her on

1/16/23, 1/17/23, 2/17/23, 3/1/2023 All the conversation were in regards to her bill.

I suggest she speaks with Exeter Hospital because if she had any jewerly on they would have taken it off due to severity of injury and noted items in her chart.

      Complaint: ********

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:  These are false claims the only time I spoke with Billing(?) was on  1/16/223 I spoke with Alex IT Manager I did mention why I was calling it had nothing to do with billing he told me that I needed to speak with a supervisor:  David L***** about my jewelry.  On 2/10/23 I called back and the lady that answered the phone she told me that they could no longer talk to me because I pressed charges I did not press charges.  I had been calling the Exeter Hospital and Exeter Police, Portsmouth Hospital (****** ******) and Portsmouth Police (officer ********).  On 2/13/2023 I left a message for David L***** to call me.  2/15/23  David L***** would not talk to me  (Rochester NH) He finally spoke with me but wasn't pleasant.  On 3/17/23 I spoke with Peter at the Meredith office he told me he was going to contact (Stacey Executive Director) he indicated that she would want to be a ware of the issue.  I have yet to hear from Stacey)  I'm sure I don't have all the dates that I called because I will still recovering.  All this group is doing is finger pointing.

      Sincerely,

Stewart's has completed an internal investigation which shows there was no jewerly and no further action will be taken at this time.

Please provide a letter from Exeter Hospital that states the jewerly was released to Stewart's Ambulance staff and the police report.

      Regards,
