I would never recommend hiring ******* *****. We hired him to remodel kitchen & bathroom and expanding the deck. This was supposed to be completed in 3 months but after 7 months still no kitchen and bathroom. He took 90 percent of the money and ran away. His employees does not have any prior experience in the field. As a result I ended up redoing all the work they did. He lied about taking permits. He lied about ordering cabinets and appliances for 6months. we were left without kitchen for 7 months. Now I am planning to take him to court and I am not the first one to do so. Me and my family suffered a lot. I wish no one has to go through this. Please stay away from this crooked contractor. He owes me $50,000.

Made an Agreement with Antonio S**** to Remodel the Kitchen and Bathroom on 02/10/23 for $65800 Agreed: 1st payment of $32,900, 2nd payment of $20,000 and final payment of $12,900 And any additions paid in full. I paid on time as per the contract. I added few things and paid a total of $80,600. Not a Single job is completely done. No sign of cabinetry and appliance after 20 weeks. I trusted Antonio (Tony) S**** and paid the money as agreed. But Antonio isn’t completing the project as agreed and dragging it out. Tony said the Cabinets would take 6-7 weeks and he would not remove the existing kitchen until 2 weeks before the Cabinets arrival date. But instead, he removed the existing Kitchen and didn’t put the new one. It’s been more than 20 weeks and I don’t believe he plan on completing the project. He repeatedly lied about the cabinet delivery. When asked for the proof of the cabinetry order, he said he don’t want to be hassled about cabinets and should be left alone to complete the project. Tony doesn’t understand the trouble our family is going through for the past 20 weeks. I came to know that he has done similar things to other customers. He kept saying he will come and talk to me about returning the money for unfinished worked but he hasn’t done till now. He owed me $43,300 for the unfinished work.

We signed an agreement and started work on that following Monday then  two days later I found out his checked bounced for $32,900 dollars and took almost 2 and 1/2 weeks to finally clear. while we still continued working until the check cleared, we had completed the first stage of the kitchen and once the checked cleared the second payment was due then *** *****  said he could only pay me $ 8,000.00 dollars and would give me the rest in two days so he gave me a second check to which also bounced and that check took 4 days to finally clear. Then paid me in bits and pieces until he paid me the second payment which took 10 days. meanwhile he kept adding more work to the additional contract and when I asked him for an checks for each additional payments for extra work he would hesitate and kept saying he would pay me in a few days.  he always procrastinated and meanwhile we kept doing all his work. as we neared the end of the project he kept bothering my employees and irritating them as to when we will be finished. they told him you have us doing all this additional work and it take time but he didn't care. besides that it took him and his wife almost a month and a half before deciding on what style kitchen to go with and color. I ordered the kitchen in May 21 and it was to take six to eight weeks delivery time. we also went to pick up tile they chose from **** ***** to which was discontinued and they said we couldn't get it. so we had to remove the backer board that was put down for tile in the kitchen and dinning area and they decided they wanted to go with hardwood flooring to which we replaced but he didn't want to pay us for the changes he also didn't want to pay us for all the new trim and crown molding and all the extras that he wanted us to do for basically free so we had a few arguments about all the extras and still wouldn't let us finish without him trying to get more then he could afford. at this point we started to get discouraged and told him if he did not pay us for the additional work that was done, then we would not deliver anything more so he said to us that he was going to hire a lawyer an try and retrieve his money and you can see from the pictures how much extra work we did for this couple and transformed there home into a very nice home but due to all the circumstances they put us through, us contractors are always the bad guys. I even went as far as to building his wife a prayer station for their Indian religion and there statues out of mahogany so I could make them happy.  costumers sometimes make contractors the bad guys when in reality costumers are the ones who make contractors suffer. we work to make there homes beautiful and because of them not realizing how much things cost and them trying to get us to do the work for nothing, well we have family's too and don't work for free neither. look at the pictures and you will see how much work we did for these people.  I was lucky we broke even and to pay my labor and materials.  people like this makes us not trust others who really want things done from professional contractors. we where only hired to do a kitchen and we ended up doing the whole house downstairs and hallway upstairs and an outside deck. wow look for yourself.

      Complaint: ********

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:

I haven't seen a crook like this contractor Antonio S****. His response started with a lie. I gave him a check on Feb 10th (he wanted on his name). He said the bank refused to clear the check on his name as its a big amount issued on his name instead of the business. So he took another check for the same amount on Feb 16th on his company (Dreamscape landscaping) and it cleared on the same day. I have attached a snapshot of bank activity showing there is a balance of $53,000 on the day the check was cleared. Another lie.. he started working at my house on March 6th, 3 weeks after he took the check not on the following Monday(Feb 14th) as he claimed. As he said I probably took 10 days to make the second payment as he started work on March 6th and started asking for second payment on March 10th saying the first payment was used to pay for cabinets and other materials. A big lie he never order the cabinets. Even after repeatedly asking for proof of the cabinet and appliance order, he never showed the proof. He told us the cabinets were ordered in March and would be installed in late April or early May. But in his response he said he ordered the cabinets on May 21st but never showed the proof. Such a liar!  He collected separated money for appliances saying they will be delivered by the time cabinets are delivered. Till now Neither the cabinets nor the appliances were delivered. Its been 6 months since he gutted my kitchen and bathroom. The pictures he posted we taken to look favorable for him. But in reality the whole downstairs is practically unlivable with an empty kitchen and empty bathroom and unfinished rooms with hazardous electrical wires sticking out. Also I just came to know the plumbing he did is not per the code and I have to redo all the plumbing that was done.  Even the prayer station he mentioned he charged us. Nothing was done for free. It shows in the invoice I attached. Everything he says is a lie. He mentioned lot of things that were never done. He calls me a procrastinator, he is the literal definition of one. Not once did he show up to work when he said he would. I have proof of every little thing I said. I paid a total of $80,600. That include First payment, Second payment and any additions in full. I am not the first customer of Antonio S**** who got screwed. I spoke to multiple of his customers who are in a similar situation. He has also been taken to court over similar issues.

I have attached the picture of all the work he left unfinished.

      Sincerely,

      *** *****

On March 31st of 2023 we reached an agreement with Dreamscape and their owner Antonio S**** to remodel our Bathroom and kitchen. Over the next 8 weeks we where left without a operating shower for the 3 1/2 weeks and the total time remodel the bathroom was 6.5 weeks with the end result being an incomplete remodel and inferior workmanship. We had given Mr S**** a deposit of $16,000 for a down payment $5300 towards the bathroom and the balance to the Kitchen with the balance due when the bathroom was completed to our satisfaction two week prior to the supposed completion of the bathroom Mr S**** requested an addition $8000. We did not feel that he had met the conditions of the contract and we were very concerned that our money was being spent elsewhere and no on our project. We had been told by a number of his workers as to his failure to pay them and he had a history, as we found out later, of failing to meet dates. When we asked for proof that our Kitchen cabinets and been ordered he refused and said that since we were in breach of contract. He has never offered us any proof that the kitchen cabinets where ordered as he told us on several.

This is a straight out lie we where contracted to do a landscaping project to which we completed quickly and they where happy that it came out beautiful. upon being contracted to remodel a kitchen and bathroom my company dreamscape builders started on a bathroom first and had ordered the kitchen and we completed bathroom in 4 weeks to which was a total gut and remodel. they where upset that it took four weeks instead of one week while we ordered parts that was to there liking and Mr. and Mrs. ******** where extremely excited on how everything turned out for they kept saying how beautiful everything is, but because it took two extra weeks they got upset and decided they did not want to use us for the kitchen to which i already ordered that cost nearly $9,800.00  they wanted me to deliver their kitchen still after they breached the contract and refused to wright us the contracted payment for the second part that's when they told us to terminate the contract and then asked me to have the kitchen delivered or pay them $10,000.00 back.  the bathroom remodel was $10,700.00 dollars and with the down payment of both kitchen and bathroom was $16,000.00 after bathroom was remodeled I offered to return them a check for $5,300.00 to which they wanted double that and i was willing to complete their kitchen but they breached contract and want more then what was given to me. no I'm sorry that's not how things work. I'm sending them a certified check for $5,300.00 for the unused portion of money and I'm keeping the kitchen  I ordered  and use it else where. look at the pictures it came out beautiful. people try and take advantage of contractors all the time and we have to stand up for what is right we always have people wanting more then what they deserve and we go out of our way to do beautiful project for them. you be the judge.

Oct 18, 2022 I hired Dreamscapes to 1) rebuild a culvert, 2) level and pave a driveway, 3) level and pave a walkway 4) dig and install a french drain 5) install shed pad. I was invoiced for 50% up front, then 25% when partial complete and 25% when finished. I was very adamant the work MUST BE DONE BEFORE WINTER OR SNOW. They started the work with no issues. Shortly after we had addendums for additional work: 6) dig down and seal coat an exterior wall 6) build a shed with electricity 7) asphalt for driveway and walkway 8) add island garden in driveway. I paid all of these addendums up front per the contract. When owner continued to press for more work, I indicated I have no funds for further work. At this time, the work started to slow. They skipped days or showed up for a few hours to work then leave. Always with an excuse as to why they didn't show. This occurred through Nov and into Dec. Cold weather set in and owner said they couldn't finish the work and they would finish in the spring. I emailed the list of remaining work and the remaining payment amount and the owner agreed to all. I initiated communication in Feb 2023 to make sure I was on his list to start as soon as weather permitted in March, which was last week, and that I wanted to work done quickly since I've been waiting. He agreed and started indicating days they would be here. Last week, no show 3 of 5 days. This week, no show again today. I asked last week for an amendment to the contract stating remaining work, remaining payment, and a finish date, but have not received anything. Today he said they would be there tomorrow and finish the work by the end of the month (April), so I have to wait another month!! I have been extremely understanding and patient, but this is ridiculous, and I am irritated with the continued delay and broken promises.  I do not want to have contact them or be contacted by the company again.

We were hired by **** ******** to do a French Drain, Pave Driveway, and build a Shed. When we started the project she was extremely happy to how quickly we did the project at a reasonable price. We completed the French Drain and the driveway, and we had built the structure of the shed. Within a month the snow started falling in her area and asphalt plants closed for the season, which Mrs. ******** was aware of and compliant with us coming back in the spring to finish. The owner was in constant contact with her over the winter and stated he was looking forward to coming back in the Spring to complete the project.  As of March, the weather had just gotten better and we did complete the metal roof to her shed, we told her we would be ordering the siding that matches her house and would be back within a week to finish the rest of her shed. We are scheduling the delivery for the asphalt within two weeks; as the plant had opened up recently and they're very busy in scheduling deliveries to that area. We have been complying with her needs and will complete the project to her liking. Unfortunately, an understanding needs to be met that weather has a lot to do with us completing our work properly.  We are presenting some pictures to show the work we have done to date. We look forward to completing her project.

      Complaint: ********

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint.

While some of what the owner states is true. They continuously delayed in the fall of 2022.  There were many nice days they just did not show up.

Work has not been completed. I have attached the list of work that remains and that he agreed to completing.

Also, I should not be waiting for any material.  It was supposedly built/ordered last year, and if not should have been done first thing this year to be ready for the nice weather.

Again I am being delayed weeks.  This is not only impacting me, but my neighbor whose yard is a mess due to their work on my yard.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: ********

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: none of the work is complete as of today.  His guys have show up 4 times about 4 hrs each time to work on the shed.  It is still not complete.  It doesn't have both doors so I still can't use it.

He keeps telling me they will show up and the dirt will be delivered on specific days, but it doesn't happen.  There have been many nice days this month with no rain, but there is no activity.

This has been dragging out with more missed appointments.  I just want the work done.

This is impacting my live in a variety of ways.  I have a house full of people coming for the holiday and need the shed, yard, ramp and driveway complete BEFORE then.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********
