    Gutters plus came by first to replace old gutters. First off, they left pieces of gutter guards all over the yard and did not clean up after themselves. They could not install one last gutter because we had to get part of the fascia board fixed. Tim assured us that they would be back to install the last gutter once the fascia board was fixed and we paid them in full. Now that the last gutter and downspout need to be installed, I cannot get a hold of them. I have left multiple messages for Tim but he will not return my calls. Trevor (the sales guy) assures us each time that Tim does the scheduling and will get back to me, but doesnt follow through either. This business will take your money and will not finish the job. I cannot recommend them.

    I would like to start off by saying that most of this comment is false. I have been in contact with Mr. ***** through email which I can forward as well as the contract that does not include any work for installing a gutter in the rear of the home. Mr. ***** had a gutter installation for his entire home minus one gutter in the rear of his home. There was a gutter there that we told him we wold reattach as it was hanging on one side. After looking at the fascia of the home we determined that it was severely rotted (I have photos) and that we could not reattach it for him but, we could remove it for free since we were already there so that a carpenter of his choice could examine the area. I then informed him that after the repairs were made that we could either reinstall that old gutter or a new one to match the rest of his home. Months later after he got the repair he reached out to me and expected that we would install his old gutter which we removed for free as a courtesy for no charge. I told him that we could not perform any free work but I did supply him with two estimates. One for reinstalling the gutter we removed for him, or install a new gutter to match the rest. At no point did we estimate, charge, bill, or inform anyone that we would be installing or doing any free work, I have signed contracts, photos, and other documents to support this if needed.

    It is real shame that we have to communicate with Tim in this forum. Rather, if he had just called us back after our multiple phone calls and messages delivered to him via his marketing person, Trevor, much misunderstanding could have been averted. With regard to the substance of his comments, I have the same messages and pictures that Tim refers to. In no email does he actually mention charging to rehang the gutter. Rather, his exact words were "once you get that section repaired, give me a call and we will put it back up for you." Never once did his email mention charging for rehanging. Moreover, contrary to the business's comment, Trevor specifically noted to us that the rehanging would be included in the original cost. That said, we can understand that there might have been a misunderstanding of the words and would have gladly paid for the additional work. We have no desire to get any work done for free. But that does not excuse a total lack of communication from this company. When we later connected with Tim (the one time he actually answered the phone), he indicated that he was out of the office for a month and a half due to a death in the family. Again, Trevor never indicated to us that Tim was out and could not return our call. Rather, we were always just left hanging. Finally, the company just took one of our downspouts. When asked about it, we were told that it wasn't taken maliciously. But he never answered the real question as to why it was taken at all? All in all, at the very least, the lack of communication and follow up is very poor.

    I cannot keep trying to defend myself and my company here against blatant lies. I advised the customer that since we were not able to "rehang" the gutter that was falling off his house due to rotter areas he informed me that he had a roofer that would take care of that work despite my company being able to perform it. My company did not "take" any materials from your house and the downspout that you were missing was taken with the rest of the trash and leftover materials from the removal of all your old gutters. That is why when you reached out to me to obtain a replacement, I told you that I would be happy to get you all the materials plus whatever extra you needed. You then sent your wife to my shop to pickup not only the downspout but extra material so that I could ensure you had all necessary parts. Again, we removed your gutter from your home for FREE so the contractor you chose that was not my company could have easier access. This saved you money and time with having to pay a contractor to remove it. The downspout that belonged to that gutter was picked up and discarded (as it was pretty old) with the rest of the matirials we removed from your home. When I informed you to call me once you had your contractor repair your work, I should have included that we would have to charge for that as it is ADDITONAL work. I should not have assumed you meant we would return to do more free work. However, at this time you have been gained free work, free materials and continue to lie on this BBB customer review form. Please see our signed contract for reference: lines 3 and 10.
