I paid $2000 for a full arm tattoo. July 20, 2021 Randy tattooed a penis on my arm. I went in with my mother and asked for my money back. They refused. They offered me $500 and rework. I didn't want to do that but they said it was my only choice. The rework was awful and I want my money back. I am 19 and now have a really screwed up arm with permanent ink.

      Business response

      11/16/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/11/16) */ **** came in for a tattoo and spoke with Randy K***, Tattoo Artist License #****. Randy reviewed the request and scheduled the tattoo appointment with **** completing the Tattoo Release Form. Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC Release Form: I accept any & all responsibility for any consequence that might stem from my decision to have any tattoo related work done by a representative of Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC. I understand that "Tattoo Artist" are Independent Subcontractors and they are responsible for their work (tattoo) and for the amount you are being charged. I agree with **** that the total amount paid should be refunded. Thus far, Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC has paid: $500 Cash back The second part was to have another artist "fix" the original tattoo by Randy K***. Ryan R****, Tattoo Artist worked part time at Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC and his own private studio and volunteered to be the "repair" artist. Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC spoke with **** / mother and **** R****, Tattoo Artist and arranged payment to Ryan R****, Tattoo Artist to repair the tattoo. **** had his first tattoo session with Ryan R****, Tattoo Artist and shortly after **** R****, Tattoo Artist decided to tattoo full time out of his private studio full time. We reached out to **** numerous times to see what the finished tattoo looked like; however, we never received a response. Thus far Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC has paid: $500 direct to ****, customer $500 direct to Ryan R****, Tattoo Artist. We were only paid $800 for the tattoo by Randy K***, Tattoo Artist. This complaint is against the wrong person/company. This complain should be against Randy K***, Tattoo Artist / Independent Subcontractor and if Ryan R****, Tattoo Artist did not finish the repair to ****'s standards, against him. Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC did not tattoo **** and it clearly states in our release for that the Tattoo Artist is responsible for their work. Randy was suspended for 30 days and limited to smaller tattoos. **** / mother has posted the tattoo on our social media which has caused the loss of clients but never once is the responsible party mentioned. This not only hurts the reputation of all other artists in Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC. Again, we rent a space to Independent Subcontractors, when a situation like this occurs, we try to make it right by giving our % back, offering another Independent Subcontractor as the "repair" artist and paying them. However, it is always the Artist's customer when things go well and our customer when there is an issue hence, the reason for the Tattoo Release Form making it perfectly clear that the Tattoo Artist is responsible for their own work! We ask that all picture references be taking down from our social media and that the complaint be submitted against the two parties responsible: Randy K***, original tattoo artist and Ryan R****, tattoo artist paid to fix the tattoo. Good day, Mayhem Ink Tattoo, LLC Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/11/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) If mayhem Ink agrees that their tattoo artist should be responsible, and was able to suspend and limit his work they should also be responsible to get the money back from their artist and return it to the client.
