I was supposed to bring my bike for repair at another dealer in ************* who ended up telling me when I got there with the bike that they couldnt work on it. I found Nationals info online and brought the bike there the same day. They said they could work on it but they were really busy so itd be several weeks until I got it back. A week later they called me and told me it was ready. The price of the repair was right where their estimate was. The service manager was honest and informative and there were several employees that were super helpful in getting the bike on and off my trailer. Ill definitely be using them for service even though Im in ************* about an hour and 15 minutes away. They offer pick up and delivery service. Kind of a no-brainer. Thanks again gentlemen. ********** 2008 Triumph Rocket 3

I have never been more dissatisfied with a dealership than I have been with NPD. The sales department was completely fine, I have nothing negative to say about them. The service department however was hands down, bar none, the absolute poorest excuse for a department I have ever witnessed at any dealership from New Hampshire to Rhode Island.

The 2012 R1 that I purchased for $10.5k was one of their "premium" bikes, meaning they apparently serviced it before offering it for sale. It also comes with a 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty. (I also purchased an additional 12 month, unlimited mile powertrain warranty for $300).

While looking at the bike in the showroom after having put a $250 deposit down, the bike failed to start. This was first attributed to a bad battery. That was replaced, and then it was discovered that the neutral switch was also bad. Fast forward a few days and I drive an hour up to pick up the bike. I get it out of the lot and stop at a convenience store. I turn off the bike for about three minutes and then, miraculously it fails to start. I try 5-6 times and it simply won't turn over. I call them back, and they pick up the bike. Two days later I'm told there is nothing wrong with the bike, and that it requires an open throttle to start (On a FI motorcycle?)

So I contact ** ************ ******* ** ************ and ****** ******** as well as posting to the R1 forum. Every source I checked with indicated that under no circumstance would you need to open the throttle to start this bike, and that there was an electrical issue going on. George, the service manager, flat out refused to investigate this issue, stating that "there's nothing wrong with the bike, I don't know what to tell you." Given that three Yamaha dealers agree his information is incorrect, as well as a forum full of R1 riders, I will now have to take delivery of a bike with an issue and take it elsewhere to be serviced.

So much for their "premium" bikes and warranty service.

I bought a bike for over $7,000. Another company that is quick to take your money and promise they can handle shipping nationwide. Truth is, they take your money and use a shipping company with a notoriously bad reputation, and 1 stars on BBB. Then they wash their hands of you, claim the delivery side is nothing to do with them (even though they arrange it all) and stop replying to emails. Shoddy customer services and you have the potential to sink a lot of money into a company that doesn't care about you or your expensive purchase once they've shipped it out of their warehouse to a company with over 100 complaints made to the BBB. Don't believe them, they cannot ship to you. And once they have your money, you're nothing to them,
