The owner of the bakery, Jamie, is extremely unprofessional and underserving of business. I received poor service and product from this bakery, so subsequently, wrote a review to inform other potential customers as well as offer feedback for the bakery to improve on in the future. When I showed up to the bakery to pick up my three items (a small 6" cake, a dozen cupcakes, and a dozen cookies) none of my items were ready. I stressed the importance of our pickup time upon placing the order and was told this was not a problem. When I arrived the assistant, Bri, had me wait outside in the cold while she tried to figure out what was going on with my order. After a few minutes she came back and said the cake needed to have the final touches and topper added, the cupcakes needed to be decorated and the cookies had just gone into the oven. She asked me to leave and come back in 20 minutes. When I asked if they would be ready when I came back she said everything would be complete and the cookies would be bagged and ready to go. I left and got coffee and came back. I received my cake then cupcakes but had been waiting on the cookies. After over an hour Bri came back with a big pile of boxes filled with hot cookies, not bagged as promised earlier. I needed to leave as I was very late so I took them and just agreed to let it go. Unfortunately the taste of the frosting was not good at all. I did complain about the taste, and every guest complained as well, and the cake and cupcakes ended up in the trash. This was extremely disappointing for a $350 investment. The owner, Jamie, insisted I was told the frosting type when choosing the cake, but the cake I chose was the only one listed without the type of frosting used. Because of my extremely poor experience with the pickup as well as the poor quality products we received, I wrote a Facebook review of the bakery. The owner, Jamie, was extremely combative upon reading my review. Rather than simply apologizing for her shortcomings, Jamie launched an internet character assassination of me. She didn't appreciate that I left an honest review of my experience and distaste for the product. Instead, she posted my personal email name and my personal emails to her Facebook page which would lead to a hate mob. I received threatening messages on my personal page, which not only forced me to remove my review of the bakery to get the hate to stop, but I also had to delete my personal Facebook page as well to get the messages and comments to stop. For two hours she left my personal email information public until it was finally removed. She was called out by multiple people in the comments for her unprofessionalism, and many said it was uncomfortable and disturbing she would blast me and my information on her business page. Not only did Jamie refuse to take responsibility for the many things that her business did wrong, she incited a hate mob to force me into silence and to shame me into removing my honest and fair review. She is an abuser with an abusive business practice, who enabled, allowed and participated in bullying on my behalf. I simply requested an apology. I did not request my money back, simply an apology. I am posting this on the BBB because this business owner chose an abusive and manipulative business practice rather than apologizing without deflection. Nothing is Jamies fault, in her eyes the customer is always wrong. Aside from her gross and unprofessional handling of the situation, the pickup for the product was an absolute failure on many levels and the flavor of the food was deemed inedible by the entire party. The bakery has been notified we are in contact with an attorney and we are deciding if we are going to press charges for cyber bullying. What she did was unacceptable behavior, not just from a business to customer point of view, but from a human to human. She should be ashamed of her behaviors and how she is choosing to represent the bakery in this light.
