Cornerstone was contracted in February of 2023 to install a new furnace and A/C at my home. They came to my home and disassembled all of my equipment failing to tell me that they did not have the A/C unit I agreed to purchase or any other unit for that matter. Despite their knowledge of this they proceeded to remove my existing unit which was fully functioning at that time. I have been involved in a billing dispute that has been ongoing over the costs of the project and a specific charge to my finance account for the job of $6516. Please see the attached complaint which outlines the dispute in further detail.Business response

I called to have my toilet fixed because it was continually running. The guy came out and quoted $300+ to fix it. After inspecting the toilet, he said nothing had to be replaced, it was just out of alinement and would cost $230 instead. He said it was working fine. Within an hour, I had to call him back because the toilet was leaking a little water onto the floor. He came back to fix that. That night, I could hear the toilet running off and on all night. When they called me to ask if I was satisfied, I told the manager about the toilet running still. He said the flush valve probably needs to be loosened and I asked if I could do it myself and he agreed. Even loosened, the toilet was running off and on all day and night. I called again for someone to come out to fix it and got the answering service. The next day they called to make another appointment. This time two different guys came out. They said I needed a new toilet for over $600 and the flange was broken, another $200 give or take. I called Cornerstone to see if they would be crediting the $230 I got nothing for, to go toward the cost of the new toilet. The guy on the phone said someone from dispatch would call me back within the hour. No one called back. I waited and so did the workers and after about 45-60 minutes, I felt bad so I said they could move forward with the project and I would talk to the manager about a refund instead of the credit off. So after paying almost $900 additionally, total almost $1100, my toilet was finally working. I called to speak to the manager and said that the $230 from the failed effort should be returned to me minus the $59 charge to come out. The manager, I think his name was Justin, said he would check with the plumbing managers and call back. Needless to say, I waited 4 days, no call. I tried to call him and was told he was "on the phone"... so now, Now, I am being ignored so they don't have to refund me $180 when they got $1100 from me for a $200 toilet.Customer response
