On 2/28/21, I purchased a Model #1003 516 248 LED Pathway Light Black Finish from the Home Depot store located at 12 commercial Drive, Somersworth, NH 03878 (603-692-0007). During the week of 8/27/22, the light no longer operated. As you can see from the included documents, the light has a 2-year warranty. I attempted to exchange it at Home Depot and was informed that I only had 90 days to return it. I was advised to contact the brand manufacturer, Hampton Bay, for an exchange. Hampton Bay is a subsidiary of Home Depot. I was informed by a representative named, DeDe, that although they are the brand, they outsource the production to another company, Steno Products, who refuses to honor the 2-year warranty (emails are attached). I attempted to contact Home Depot’s Hampton Bay via email; however, the email was deleted without being reading (see included). I bought Home Depot’s private label brand product from a Home Depot store. It seems to me that Home Depot has the primary responsibility to honor the warranty because they advertised on their Hampton Bay box. I know nothing of their contractual agreement with the manufacturer Steno about warranty timeframes. In light of this situation, there are two disconcerting issues here. First, all parties involved refuse to honor the 2-year warranty as noted on the box. Second, advertising a 2-year warranty when the warranty is allegedly 1-year is false advertising. I request replacement of the item or a full monetary reimbursement. I look forward to your assistance and hearing from you. Thank you.
