I was down on my luck and broken down in New Hampshire with my r.v. and I needed some money. So I looked for a pawn shop and found that one. State line pawnshop on high street in somersworth New Hampshire. So I went there and I only borrowed $300 hundred dollars against my 14karat yellow gold 301 gram Miami Cuban link chain and my 14karat yellow gold 18 gram crucifix also cause it is permanently mounted on it in between the triple box lock on it. So I pawned it on the 26th of august and I needed to pick it up on the 27th of September. Mind you the chain alone is worth almost 15 thousand dollars never mind the crucifix too. I ended up getting into a street bike accident and couldn’t make it on the due date but I called him that morning and his female worker picked up and said he was not there but I explained I would be there the next morning definitely to pick up my merchandise from him and I was so verbal assuring her I wanted my chain back it was a lot of money and sentimental to me!! She told me he would be calling me back shortly. But never did so I called back before closing and left a message telling him I’d be there to pick it up. So I called all day Sunday and all day Monday I didn’t know he was off on those days but back on Tuesday. So I started calling on Tuesday morning and got an answer around 10 and was told he was with a customer I said I’d wait for him and got hung up on?? So I continued to call back and he answered and starts yelling at me telling me I’m causing problems and he had to see what he did with my chain cause he’s been busy??? He never called back?? So I called him again no answer so I just went there Wednesday morning upon arriving I gave him my pawn slip and told him I wanted my chain I had the money he got pissed banging on the case and telling me that he sent it to the refinery??? Stole my 15 thousand dollar chain from me. I don’t know what to do I went to police and they did nothing at all what can I do to get my chain back? PleasehelpBusiness response

Dear Mr. ****** ****, July 27th 2022, Wednesday, ****** ** ********* came to Stateline Pawn in Somersworth NH. He explained to me that his RV had broke down and he needed to get a loan. He put up his necklace for collateral. We filled out the pawn slip loan form, I explained the paperwork to him as we do with every single customer. I told him all that the form intales and he agreed and signed. I gave him the pink customer copy and the cash. ******** pawn was due 8/26/22 Friday. On 8/29/22 3:41pm Monday ****** (girlfriend) left a message on the answering machine. My hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday 10-5pm ad Saturday 10-2pm. Every Saturday after closing all gold that has not been picked up gets processed and sent out on Mondays. ****** also went to the Somersworth PD to report me. The officer looked over the paperwork. The officer called me shortly after and we went over the paperwork together and he agreed that I was 100% in the right. He had also stated that if I had any problems or issues regarding this matter to contact him.
