    Complaint Type:
    Service or Repair Issues
    Status:

Filing on behalf of my (80 year old) Aunt, *******************************. A brand new mobile home was purchased & communication from Camelot has been extremely poor from the beginning. Each time I address their lack of communication, they have an excuse as to why. The reason for the complaint at this time is due to lack of service (and communication) on "finishing the job". I have called Camelot (on behalf of my Aunt *******************************) approximately 20 times since her mobile home was delivered trying to work with them on getting "the punch list" completed on her brand new mobile home. Again, they provide an excuse every time as to why "the punch list" has yet to be completed. Today I was told they'll try and get there the end of the week. I have been told this a couple of times before. Based on lack of communication we do not trust them to complete the job if and when they do arrive. We ask for assistance in getting the mobile home repairs made in a very timely manner and to her satisfaction. Refund: in addition "to the punch list" she should receive a refund for two screen doors that she paid for. The doors did not swing the direction she needs, the sub contractor that did the original set up (way back in September!) took them with him - they are not in her possession I've been told by two people at Camelot they can not give her two doors that swing the direction that she needs them to, so I asked for a refund. I was told they would not give her a refund because she did not specify on the order what direction for the screen doors to swing. I agree the order does not specify but nor did the salesperson ask! The repairs should have been made a long time ago and a credit for the two doors should have been given to her a long time ago. She held up her end of the contract and paid for everything in full upon request once it was set (again back in September!). This is exteremly poor business on their part. I have a lot more information to share when and if needed.

We've signed the home purchase agreement with Camelot Homes to purchase the Modular complex on March 05th 2020, the Modular complex delivered on September 1st 2020 to the foundation. The Modular complex came with strips of foam insulation for set crew from Camelot Homes to install in between the blocks to stop the cold air coming from outside. Camelot Home's set cruse failed to install the insulation came with the building, Camelot Home's set crew also installed the boxes not inline with each others leaded to the bendy and tilt walls by the stair set. The City of Lebanon's building inspector asked about the insulation in between the blocks, Camelot Homes then supposed to have the siding crew fill the gap (between the boxes) by spray foam before install the siding, But that never got done either before he installed the siding. The building inspector kept ask about spray foam (from the interior) in between the boxes before installed the transitions. Camelot Homes sent the guy over and sprayed foam in few spots (and didn't covered those spots) just to showed the inspector and us that he sprayed foam through out the whole entire building before he installed the transitions on the wall and floor. Camelot Home sent another guy over to fix one of the transition one the wall that wasn't done properly, I found they wasn't honest about sprayed foam the whole entire building since one single board removed and found no spray foam in between the boxes there. Camelot Homes then sent the guy back to sprayed foam just that spot that they claimed on he missed that one spot. Camelot refused to opened any more transitions to show us if all other gaps all filled with spray foam. We ended accept it to let them finish the building so we can operate it. The Camelot Home's siding crew has screwed holes through the roof singles to keep his equipment up while he installed the siding. We've asked him to replace the singles with crewed holes in them to avoid leaks to the roof in the future, he refused to do so and he told us Camelot Homes is only paid him to filled holes with roofing cement. The City inspector told us roofing cement is going to peels, cracks leading to leak within three to five year and he isn't going to passed the inspection for that. We've made many requests to replace the screwed hole singles to the new singles as it a brand new roof. Camelot Homes sent the guy over to lay some singles on the ground and told us he replaced the damaged singles on the roof, We went on to the roof the inspect after and found the roofing cement still on the damaged singles on the roof and has cracks already before the building even finished. We paid extra $575.00 to Camelot Homes to have the building come installed with the exhaust and intake vent pipes for both boiler rooms, But the building only came with one room finished, not the other, Camelot Homes claimed they have no plumbing license to installed the boiler's vents for us so they asked our plumber to do it for them, then they didn't pay our plumber's bill to installed what left off from the order we've paid for, our plumber charged us $1002.00 extra just to installed the vent pipes to one of the boiler's room that left off from the manufacture. We've request for the reimbursement of the plumber's bill for the extra work that Camelot Homes employee's requested our plumber to do, But Camelot Homes denied to reimburse the cost. The City's building codes is required the bathroom's vents must be at the minimum of 6 inches over the roof to avoid snow filled up and cause leaks during snow storms, The building only came with 3/4 inch over the roof. We've requested Camelot Homes and the Home manufacture to fix the problem. Camelot Homes replied that how they build houses, if the Local code isn't allowed that, then Home owner have to hire and pay someone else fixes the problem Camelot Homes and the Manufacture's left off. We do not agree with the answer as we've paid in full to Camelot Homes (as they required before they event ship the building over to site) they should correct the issue and met with the local codes required. The building came with the aluminum transitions, I have personally checked the aluminum transitions carefully and liked them as it would matches with our appliances and it lay flat on the middle of the dinning room's floor, but the Camelot Homes taken them away from our property and replaced with the wooden transitions that raise 1/2 inch higher than the floor in the middle of the dinning room (per the plan shows where the dinning rooms are) so we can't use the dinning room set. We've asked Camelot Homes to come back and replace the aluminum transitions instead of the wooden transitions at least in the dinning rooms. Camelot Homes denied and told us to hire and pay someone to do so. We do not think this is right either as the aluminum transition came with the building and got taken away from Camelot Homes's employee without asked us a word about them. Camelot Homes sent the guy over to do the sheetrock, but he left the wall by the stair sets are bendy and tilt without smooth out like a normal wall (due to the set crew installed the boxes not inline with each others), the walls start to cracks at the multiple places through out the whole building, Camelot Homes promised to send someone over to fix this, But all promised without see the contractor show up in the last fifteen months, Camelot Homes claims the contractor has been busy to fix the leaky roofs one property to the next properties and not available every time we made a request. Not once or twice, this is over fifteen months since the building has set. We need to get done and be able to use the building. All the floor are squeaky when step on, Camelot Homes and the Home manufacture claimed it is normal, We don't think squeaky floor and crack walls before finished is normal, But the floor got denied to fix by the manufacture, the cracks and tilt, bendy wall promised to fix the the Camelot Homes, but never seen they send the guy over to do after more than fifteen months. The building suppose to come with plumbing's vent, Camelot Homes's employees have no plumbing license and tried to hook up the plumbing's vent and left it tilt on one direction. We can deal with this issue as it may not cause damages in the future.
