Property: ***************************************************************. Complaint: Price gauging, Price gauging, misrepresenting material facts, intentionally trying to deceive and defraud.South Jersey Elevator priced gouged me charging me over $1500 for the part and $1600 for 8 hours of man hour reprograming. I had the repair completed in an hour for $388 by Residental Elevator.On January 9, 2023 *************************** called me to tell me the problem had been detected and it needed a new drive as the one that I had was obsolete. The cost of the repair was going to be $3169.15 and take at least 8 man hours to reprogram the drive. ****** told me that if the drive had not been located, new drive that I would have to have the elevator modernized at the tune of $25,000. (intentional deception and defraud) They had located the new drive and I should be grateful. South Jersey Elevator charged my card $1743.59. No repair yet. I have now paid $2143.43 (68% of job) with no repair.February 6, 2023 Residental Elevator came identified this issue. Had a drive on their truck and replaced the part, completed a service call within an hour. The cost of the part was $388.50. After 4 phone calls to speak with manager, I spoke to the owner, ***************************** and told him I did not authorize my card for the charges. I also expressed to him my concerns of Price gauging, misrepresenting material facts, intentionally trying to deceive and defraud. He agreed that ****** should have never told me the elevator could need a modernization (misrepresenting material facts, intentionally trying to deceive and defraud) and was going to look into it in the morning that he would make it right.The next day, *********************************** called me and told me because I had entered into another annual service agreement with Residential Elevators, I was in breach of the service agreement and they were terminating me and not refunding and of the $2143.43 I had paid.
