We hired ***** to clean and repair our fireplace and have him provide the document that our fireplace is clean and free from defects, because we are selling our house and these should be done for **** (Township Inspection for House Sale) before Apr. 18. On Apr. 13, ***** failed to show up for the schedule without any notice. He wanted to visit and repair it the next day so we had to rearrange our busy schedule. I asked him that it really should be completed on Apr.14. because we are moving and preparing for the **** so our schedule is very tight. However, he refused to repair or provide the document that day, either, and requested $2300. It was obvious that he overcharged because he knew that we do not have time to find someone else at this point. And then, he postponed it again to Apr. 15. We had to rearrange our schedule to accommodate him again. And then, His staff made a complete mess of our house: He left black marks everywhere when our house was newly painted for sale, he did not wear gloves to work and walked into our house without booties for his shoes and then washed in our bathroom. The newly installed fireplace panels are also dirty with black marks, when we have to show the buyers that the panels are new. When I asked him to clean the mess and finish the job, he screamed so I could not let him into our house any more. I begged them not to cause problems like this and resolve them in a timely manner because I am a cancer patient, I cannot be stressed but this problem will cause problems to our **** and house closing, which will cost millions of dollars for both buyers and us. I asked ***** to send someone else and let me know by yesterday when he will send someone. However, ***** stopped responding and did not answer my calls or text messages any more. He also promised to send me the document for the ***** yesterday but he failed to do so, either. Therefore, I ask BBB to help us out on our issue. Our **** is Apr. 18 and we need to submit our fireplace document by Apr. 17.Business response
