I went to this ***************** to obtain a new contact lens prescription. I had had problems with the previous brand of multifocal lenses, Boston S ********** Renovation brand, even though I had been wearing the same brand and prescription for many years.When I originally made the appointment with the new optometrist, I made a point of telling the person who made my appointment, that I wanted a different prescription for these lenses. I told the intake person i the office, and the optometrist the same information, that I was there for a new and different brand of contact lens. I told 3 people before I proceeded with my appointment, that I did not want the same prescription for the same brand of contacts that I had problems with. I was NEVER told, AT ANY TIME, that I would have to order new lenses from the office, that it would cost $380, in addition to the $194 for the office visit. I would have never gone to the new office, just to end up with the same prescription I already had from my previous optometrist. I even gave the office a copy of the previous prescription, which was not even a year old, and stated, once again, that I did not want the same brand of lenses. Only after my appointment did the optometrist, ***************************, inform me that I would have to spend an additional $380 in her office. It NEVER explained to me beforehand that this was the procedure, or I never would have bothered to come to this new office. I have been wearing contacts lenses for 48 years, and never experienced this kind of bait and switch and deceit before. It was just a way for the office to make an additional $380 for the contacts.I spoke to the office manager, *****, when she returned from vacation, and she even confirmed that she had been the original person who made my appointment, and was specific about what I had requested. She refused to help me in any way with this matter, and just said she was sorry. I also spoke to another person in the office, *******.
