We hired Sergio Tapia this summer to put in a paver patio, change the pavers on our walkway & amend a fence. He took the entire summer to do a 2 week job. He didn't pay the day laborers he hired, and took advantage of their illegal immigration status. The workers came to us to ask for payment, which had already been sent to Sergio via Venmo. He wouldn't show up for days at a time and there were endless lies: truck broke down, pavers weren't in stock, sick kid. etc. There was always a lame excuse as to why he couldn't show up at 9 am. His workers would stand around because they didn't have materials to do the job. Then he would show up late afternoon and ask for more money. He charged us for fencing and paver materials he never used.At the end of the day, there is about $3k work of work that needs to be done in order to fix what he did. The fence he worked on wasn't installed properly & sways because he didn't use concrete. The pavers were not laid correctly, so there is significant pooling when it rains. He did not use enough sand between the pavers, left glue on top of the pavers which cannot be removed. Several of our personal tools were taken including a **************** The fence is damaged in several places and there are scrapes and scratches all over it that were not there before.He ruined our front and back lawns. He left materials on the grass so it died and will not grow back.When we hired him he was using the company name Superscape, but that might not be real. He is a convicted felon who has a history of conning homeowners. See link - *********************************************************** He is a professional con artist. He promises great things and a job done in a timely manner. Once he gets your money, he starts the job and does just enough so that you think he'll finish, then he stops coming and starts with the lies. He strings you along because you don't want to lose the money you already paid.
