This company was contracted by my *********************** to reconstruct *********** after a fire. Since the Rebuild was finished I have mostly had contact with the Contractor but ultimately as of July have been in contact in person as well as via email with the owner ******************************* and his Sister who runs the office. Since we have been back in the home we have had several issues that are on a severe level with both the quality of work as well as the functioning of our Heating and AC System..the flooring was not installed correctly and we have had additional issues arise including ripples and lifting in the kitchen counter, a screen door that is still not installed and cracks and screws in the upstairs ceiling. We had a physical walk through multiple times with *** his employee and one with ********************, he has become completely unresponsive and dismissive of my issues even faulting us for things that were a problem since day one, that I have thoroughly communicated to his Contractor. I have emails where he even acknowledges a number of the issues they need to do, but has not made an attempt to schedule to handle anything that is left on the list. I paid a separate State ***************** and AC company to come in and verify some of the issues to which ******************** completely ignores his statements on the problems. My Association refuses to help intercede and ******************** literally doesn't reply to any emails with pleads for him to call to resolve the issues. my next step is to write a letter to the State Agencys that oversee this type of situation I have come to you with hopes that ******************* will attempt to get things right with our home so that we can move on. I have sent multiple pictures and videos over the course of attempting to handle this with him and the association for a very long time. further details, screen shots of texts or emails can be provided if need be. I am rejecting this response because:
This was the same email that was sent because the business has not made an attempt to make the appointment to fix the problems they cut and pasted and emailed response from July or August this is November. The ventilation problem has been ongoing since end of June beginning of July of 2021..Filters were installed July of 2022 the floor has flex and is not level because they did not use a floor leveling compound when they installed it. Floating floor is a term they use but is merely an excuse as to why they did not use floor leveling compound...I have had other contractors in and responded to this email back in July also the carpet was also an issue in the beginning not from cats ..they have delayed making the repairs so long that they feel they can blame the home owner it is bad business. I have asked to have them come back to do the repairs countless times they even state in this email they know they need to do the repairs but have not attempted to schedule with me.The screws and cracks are not from leaving windows open with the Air Conditioner on ..again consulted a State Certified A/C/ Ventilation Business owner who laughed at that suggestion. Need repairs done as it is well over a year and now 5 months since ******************* was at my residence.
