Purchased a hover-1 my first hoverboard for my son through Amazon. Within a month it failed. Submitted a claim, it has been two Weeks and havent heard back. When you try to call them, they tell you, due to high call Volume, we cant accept any calls. Waste of $100. Ticket number I was given is 276673.Wont be purchasing through them again.DGL Group Response

Absolute scammers. Bought a hoverboard for my child for Christmas. Got it on sale in September and after gifting it to my child she waited a week to unbox it. When opening it the thing is completely dead. Only time it will turn on is if the charger is plugged into it. It does not charge. It is completely faulty and I am wishing I read reviews before purchasing after seeing how many people have had the same issue. I contacted the company and they said there is nothing they can do about it. This is disgusting practice for a company to have, to market toys aimed at **** year old's that DO NOT WORK and then tell us that they will do nothing to resolve the issue. Considering I am on a fixed income and they will not do anything to help, I have a very disappointed child with an unusable toy. They do not even deserve 1 star. BUYER BEWARE!DGL Group Response

***, We do apologize for this. Most retailers do in fact have a holiday return and exchange period, however in this case it does not include the month of September. This company is absolute garbage. Bought December 21st as a Christmas gift. Weather was bad so didn't open until Jan 20th. It would not charge at all. Tried charging it on and off over 48 hours. Total charging time was about 6 or 7 hours. Best Buy said it was out of its return window. So I contacted Hover-1 the company that makes the board thinking it would honor its 90 day warranty. Nope. They gave some excuse that I overcharged the unit and said it voided the warranty. How can I overcharge something that is not charging to begin with? I received a hover board that was DOA (dead on arrival). Look at all the 1 star reviews on here and on Best Buy and Amazon. So many people had DOA boards for Christmas and they won't fix or replace them. They take the money and run. Best Buy should not sell merchandise from a company like this that does not honor their warranties. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM (DGL GROUP) HOVER-1. EVER!!!!!DGL Group Response

***********, we do apologize for the issue experienced. In your communication you did state you charged the unit for 48 hours, significantly more than outlined in the manual. While we do apologize in advance for the issue, having reviewed the manual as advised to do so we do advise to following the charging interval, "do not continue charging the battery if it does not recharge within the specified charging time" to which 48 hours is well over the amount outlined.Review from latricemadden1

They are a SCAM! They are scamming a lot of people out there money.i got the wrong hoverboard. The one online looks different from the one I got and its not charging at all. I want a refund. I got a totally different hoverboard from the one I ordered.wanted to know what happened to the original package box ?? Because when I open up the box it just came with 2 styrofoam attachments.like what happen to the display box that it normally come in like what you see on shelves at a retail store??? The product came with NO serial number as well.the product is also damaged and will not charge.i would never buy from that company any more. They have terrible customer service. My issue is with the hoverboard's calibration. Only used it once on my daughter's birthday and it would calibrate but once you got on it, it felt like it had a mind of it's own. After putting one foot on the pedal it would jerk off. This is not rideable. I would not recommend Hover -1 ************ and all DGL products and since submitting tickets gets me no response on their website I am writing one in bbb.org. Also, they do not answer their phone numbers listed on Hover-1's website and the DGL groups number listed on bbb.org.DGL Group Response

************ , Hoverboards require the need to adjust to riding them. Your request was for a refund as we were not the retailer of record, we are unable to refund you. We did ask to complete a calibration as this is a process that is common to be completed with all Hoverboards which we see you do not wish to. Ordered Hover 1 ranger hoverboard for sons birthday. He opened it Sunday, rode for less than 5 minutes on a hardwood floor and it started beeping. The board was like breaking in half. Says 260lb. weight limit, son is less than 150. Best Buy says it can be taken care of with the 90 day warranty that came with purchase. Hover 1 says it's not covered. It's obviously a manufacturing issue. They just refuse to help.DGL Group Response

They build, sell and market a 3 wheel ridable scooter for adults (HY-RIDR) for approximately $1300 but do not stock replacement lithium batteries, will not give you info on replacing said batteries and are very difficult to get any information for. So basically it is a throw away scooter that only worked well for 2 years at most. You cannot talk to them directly and spend days trying to find where to contact and get info and only can get an email account, then they spend days not answering your questions.Review from Joshua R

Hover-1 knows of products on their scooters breaking and offers no support on replacement parts or recall. Complete joke. Ive needed an accelerator for months now. I have talked to a represenative and no timetable for any to be in stock. Quit making scooters and offer replacement parts or offer full refunds for their broken machines. Yes I know its past the warranty period. 364 days I put in a ticket. Of course them receiving said ticket there is nothing they can do. I want my money back so I can purchase from a company who cares to have a solid product and has great customer service. Complete disappointment.DGL Group Response

We do apologize that you have been waiting for this part. There is a claim you have been waiting for this part for 364 days. We see the information was provided to us in April 2023. Parts are received on a weekly basis including chargers, charge ports and many other parts. Refunds on items over 1 year old purchased from Best Buy is not an option that we can offer. We do not know if you did take advantage of the extended warranty offered with Best Buy if so we do suggest outreach to them for assistance.Review from Devisurnder D

I purchased a Hover-1 Journey for $375.00. This is a considerable investment for me. But after a while, it started showing this E1 error. When I researched on E1 and Hover-1, I learned that this is a very common issue that impacts the motor. No way to fix it, just replace it. Therefore, since this is under warranty, I started the return process. I created the support ticket on 3/12, their first response was on 3/21 and that was for additional information, which I supplied. I sent them videos and images of the error. There options for return is either I pay for the return shipment of this 35lb scooter. Or I cut an electrical line on this scooter, which can cause electricution. I asked them to send me a return box and I'll return it. But they are not willing to do that. I have to pay for the return.The customer support is not willing to work with you. If I had the option to put zero stars, I would. This company along with everyone that works there are scammers. I bought a Hover-1 scooter with my son and it didn't work, I reached out and they sent me another one that also didn't work. I also bought a battery which is fried because it also didn't work. After weeks and weeks of waiting, they finally sent me an e-mail that there was nothing they could do because of a 90 day warranty - they obviously did this on purpose.
