              I received preventative care with Atlanticare for my insurance company's annual requirement. I made sure to mention that it was preventative care, which is covered by my insurance. My husband and I go to the same provider and had the same preventative appointments, bloodwork, and insurance, however I was charged. I contacted *******, who the charge is with, and they expressed that Atlanticare had coded the script for the bloodwork incorrectly. I called Atlanticare, who said to not worry, and that it would be resolved within 30 days. I have since received a past due notice from Labcorp. I had an appointment with the physician's group in September, in which I spoke with the ordering physician, and he expressed that it "is not a big deal, happens all of the time, and to contact the office and they would take care of it in the future". I contacted the office today, and they expressed no knowledge of the issue. The bloodwork was drawn on 07/11/2023. I want to make sure this gets resolved, and that this "past due" invoice does not go to my credit report.

              This message is in response to a recent medical bill received from an 8/28/2023 to an participating urgent care center.Please review the amount being charged which is $334.18. The current amount after my $25 copay is $309.18 I went to AtlantiCare on 8/28/23 for a clogged left ear which i get every 2-3 years because of a narrow ear canal on my left side only.My issue is a result of the enormous charge for the service in respect to service I received to unclog my ear. My left ear was flushed out with a syringe using water by the nurse that day which took no more than five minutes. After two water syringe flushes the impacted ear wax washed out and I was finished. As a result, I was very surprised to receive such a large bill.The bill amount of $334 appears too high for such an elementary form of medical attention. I will go even further to state that It is a rip off.Please investigate AtlantiCare for the rates and corresponding charges for services received.

              After review of billing account/statement, the charge for the service was the allowed billable amount from the patient's insurance carrier. The balance remaining was applied toward the patient's deductible which he is responsible for. The billed allowable amount for this service is determined by the insurance company and not AtlantiCare as the provider.
