FloodCo USA ( Box 441,Elmwood Park NJ 07407, Tax ID 20-394 6408) came to my house after we got flooded on July 8,2021.. They were sent by my insurance agent. When their representative arrived she told me that all the services would be covered by my insurance company.and all I have to do is pay my deductible. I thought it was a fair agreement. Also, they brought commercial equipment such as dehumidifiers and fans and I raised concern about my electrical bill that would go higher after using such an equipment. The representative told me I should not worry about any of this and everything would be covered by my insurance. Next step was when I saw they started to cut my sheetrock 2 feet up from the floor. When I asked what was going on they explained that this how everything is done and it will prevent the mold. But again they told me that everything would be cover by my insurance. The dehumidifiers and fans were running in my basement for 10 days. Few days later they sent me an estimate of how much it will cost to repairs my walls. It was for an amount of $11.300. After receiving such an estimate I spoke with them and again they told me not to worry about anything and everything would be covered by home insurance. My insurance sent me a check in am amount of $10.000 and I was happy that I would be able to cover the coast of the repairs. But.... I got multiple phone calls from FloodCo telling me that I owe them money and I must give them the check I received from my insurance and can not hold that check. Their representative who came to my house the days of the flood came to my house to claim the check. Also, I got a phone call few times from my agent to give them the check which eventually I did. I though that my insurance will send me another check. But it never happened. I called multiple times to FloodCo, to my agent and to my insurance but nothing. All I want to say that I was mislead and misinformed by FloodCo that what ever job they were doing would be covered by my insurance. I also had an oriental rug, wool rug and a wool runner that they took to clean. They messed up all my rugs - all the colors on my oriental rug and on wool runner were kind of mixed, the red color from my oriental rug got on my beige color wool rug. And now we noticed that the wool rug got molded. I would never have them come to my house for any job. They are not trustworthy and definitely don't tell you exactly the job description.
