I was planning a renovation at my home so I shopped at Reno. Angel for my kitchen cabinets and appliances. I purchased kitchen cabinets separately and a Viking Range 30" SS Model #**************, serial # *************** from Renovation Angel in Fairfield NJ 07004 on 9/29/22 and received delivery of the range on October 20,2022 at my house. It was all wrapped in stretch plastic with a blanket. I saw it in person at Renovation Angel and it appeared new and never used having only a few scratches on the front door. Other than that the burners were wrapped in original cartoning and stickers were still attached to the unit. When my kitchen was near completion I had to hire a company to install the unit. This company has nothing to do with RA. I paid $319.87 to **** ***********, LLC A week later I tried to cook something in the oven - it was Christmas and the turkey was taking a long time. It seemed like the unit wasn't heating properly. I called a Viking Repair company, ******* Repair Services in Manalapan, NJ and they came and took the oven door and racks off and proceeded to unscrew the bottom of the range off . Then I saw and they saw brown dirt and they said it looks like it was in a flood. They called Viking. There is nothing they can do because I bought from RA which is not an actual dealer but they advertise luxury products. RA said that I had it too long to do anything about a return and that I would have to put a claim in within 30 days. "I said it was in a flood or something and you didn't disclose that to me". Chris the Customer service man at RA said that the inspectors at RA must have missed that as they inspect their products. They are not offering me a refund but said that they would offer me a discount on another unit. I don't want to buy from them as I don't trust them. Now I have a beautiful looking range in the kitchen that I can't use. I don't have $4000.00 to just throw away. I would like a total refund so I can buy elsewhere.
