I had left a one star review for Catenero Law. After speaking to Mr. ********************** on the phone, he agreed to look over some documents. I sent over the other documents requested. He had told me he would look at them the following Tuesday I believe. After that date passed and I heard nothing from him, I called twice and sent a follow up email. I never received a response. My time had been wasted waiting for a response from him when I could have gotten another lawyer, so I left a review saying, "Did not get back to me after the initial phone call. I scanned the documents over as requested and sent phone calls/follow up emails." I then found another lawyer.July 23, 2022 I accidentally emailed Mr. ********************** instead of my present lawyer. He finally replied, saying, "...youdefamedme with a 1 star ****** review after I provided you with a free telephone consultation... I event offered to review certain documents that you never (despite claiming that you did in your ****** review) sent me. Another falsehood. I should send you an invoice for my time & am still considering filing a civil suit against you for defamation...This email shall also serve as my written demand that you remove the false, 1 star ****** review you posted onlineimmediately. If you do not, or if you make any further defamatory or disparaging public statements about me or my firm, you may be assured that all steps that I deem appropriate will be taken to adequately and fully protect my and my firms interests and rights."It is not true that I never sent over the documents. Because I felt threatening legal action over my honest review was unethical, I left the original review in tact, and also updated it with a photo of the email threatening legal action and a photo of the sent email with the documents I had sent. The review disappeared the next day. It is likely that he is paying to have his firm come up at the top of the search results and remove negative reviews.
