In pursuit of a new career and a desire to contribute to society through medical/health services, I did a 6 month medical training program that requires the use of **** testing for final certification. The program and exam was paid for upfront by the ******* **** of ****** After completing a 6 month program, I registered for my exam and on the day of the test I learned that I was also supposed to schedule a specific time in advance and therefore had missed it and would have to pay again to reschedule. On the phone with **** I was told it would be $25. The **** rep walked me through rescheduling. I reluctantly paid for another exam, which ended up being more than i was told, $60. Finally the second big test day came again, and I was unable to access it, again! I contacted **** and was told that the exam was for 2:30AM, and i had missed it by 11 hours. I was bombarded with emails, none of which say "AM" (or PM) They all just confirm 2:30 EST. (The first round of emails didn't mention anything about needing to select a time, either!) **** is using predatory booking to bleed money from students, and other organizations. I confirmed it to be true over the phone when they told me that this happens "all the time". I don't think that I should have to pay a third time for a service I never received and I wouldn't trust this association. **** should revamp its services to be more user friendly and support based, instead of preying on people who want to better themselves.
