Contacted A General Plumbing regarding an issue with a hot water heater that is a 1 1/2 years old. A General came out and drained /flushed the hot water heater, but this did not resolve the issue. Was told they would contact the hot water heater manufacturer to inquire on what the issue could be and next steps. I was charged for a service call that day. Another week passed, and I did not hear back from them, so I called and asked for an update. I was told they now needed to replace the gas valve, and they came back out to replace this part, and was again charged and the issue not fixed. Was told the same as above, they would follow back up. Again, nothing from them. I called again and this time was told that the issue was the anode rods, those were replaced, and again I was charged but this did not fix the issue. The plumber said, Im done here and you need to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer would not speak to me, only the plumber to start the process of replacement. The company refuses to talk to me and all that needs to be done is they need to contact the manufacturer to start the replacement for a new tank for me, and they refuse to do so. I contacted ******** and White again today, and they have not called to start this process. I have been charged over $700 and still have a broken hot water heater that I cannot get replaced from the manufacturer until they call. I have asked/called several times asking to speak to the owner and have been told no, or not available and they will call me back. The staff is rude and cut me off and keep saying we are looking into it. They never do. I have now had to contact another plumbing company to move forward with this repair which will cost additional money. I now believe that I have been charged for unnecessary service calls for repairs that were not needed, and this issue could have been resolved sooner had they just contacted the manufacturer for a replacement hot water heater.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I thought the business would be working with me to resolve this issue, however they have not been back in touch with me after they said they would work with me and have stopped taking my calls again. Can we please reopen this claim?
