    BBB unable to locate business
    We hired International Van lines to move a family member from PA to **. We were promised that they would be our sole point of contact for the entire move. That was not the case, we were subcontracted out twice and had to deal with two other moving companies. International Van lines did not provide any contact information of these companies in advance, we only found out once the other companies started contacting us. The driver was supposed to give ***** hours notice before ******. He did not, he provided an hour notice at 10am on a sunday morning. Then when we met him at the house in FL he was angry that we were not ready for him, and blamed us on the delay and messing up his schedule. We tried multiple times to contact our intial move manager from International van lines that promiesed to be with us every step of the way. They did not respond via phone or even email to any of our issues or concerns. They took our money and stuff and dumped us on two other companies to deal with.In summary we experianced the following issues;1. passed to two subcontractors without our knowledge or approval 2. charged for a cross load to smaller truck in FL when driver did not even try to get 18 ******* in space which would have fit his truck.3. Given an hour notice of arival, this is a direct breach of contract on the moving companies part.4. Multiple items broken 5. Entry stairs and landings damaged 6. Rude employees who blamed the complete lack of logistics on us, the customer.

    Avoid this company! False quotes, poor communication, not timely and inaccessable when trying to get information. 1. They charged us $24,000 when our binding quote was $14,000. To make it more stressful they wanted the additional money ON THE **** once they already had everything loaded. The "binding quote" was given a virtual walk through with every cabinet and room disclosed. (This was the 3rd time we have done a cross country move so are aware of expectations). We definitely regret using them! Regarding our overpayment, we went through their arbitration company and were offered a return of $75. 2. Also be aware that requested delivery date is merely a "request," and fine print says **** days from the date requested. When we were waiting for our furniture to arrive and there was no return of our phone calls or emails for 7 days. Their final response was that our expectations were "too high" and we would receive a update when it was 2 days from arriving. FYI - It was delivered 17 days after our requested date and 26 days from pick-up. 3. The ONLY time you can reach someone in person is to get a Quote and Make your downpayment. After that there is no personal contact just voicemails and automated messages!!
