      On 13Jan23 Light House Van Lines came to pick up my household goods. We had an agreed-on inventory at the time of the move. I needed a representative to meet them since I was unable to get to the location in time. There was an issue at loading with the price; however, my representative was a little intimidated with four men doing the move. It is not about the individuals, just she was afraid to have any problems. I did call to confirm the price since it was in excess of $1,800 on an estimated $4,488.78 move. When I confirmed the price over the phone with the foreman I told him it was too high. He told me not much he could do about it. The company did not provide an updated BOL at the time of load and did not provide an inventory. They also did not provide the actual cubic feet used. When contacted by the company they stated that my representative said not to do an inventory. This is not correct. I had several phone calls with the company that ended in them yelling at me that it was all my fault. However, there was not proper documentation with the move and I do not see any justification for the $1,800. I did request the company refund my deposit and they keep the additional $1,000 as a compromise since I can respect there is some possibility of under estimation as well as we did approve two extra wardrobe boxes. It appears they did not follow interstate shipment rules; however, as pointed out by the owner I am not a moving expert and I do not understand the requirements; however, seems highly irregular to not have proper documentation based on other interstate moves. I did tell the foreman the price was too high, and he just shrugged. I did have several items damaged in the move as well as some damage to my interior walls. I am not too worried about those things since that is the risk of the move.

      When our guys arrived the foreman and your wife did a walk through and the foreman noted some furniture that was bigger than estimated and some items that were not on the original list. also we had to do some packing for you and your wife was informed prior to us loading and she agreed. so we started loading then we asked her if we do the inventory it will take a longer time and we may not be able to delivery same day, she agreed not to do inventory as long as she was the only one on the truck so that is the reason inventory was not done, Which she knew and agreed to
      When we left you already new what the price was . it took 5 hrs from point a to point B and the balance was already known to yourself as well as your wife. because you had the balance ready when we arrived
      There was no concerns raised during pick up or the travel that took 5 hrs and also at delivery you you thanked our guys paid them and they did their job and left.
      You never raised any concerns to the foreman who did your move start to finish at delivery so he could answer or explain your concerns.
      Once our crew was long gone that is when you raised the questions. We had no clue you had issues . When it comes to the
      10% only applies if the inventory is 100% correct and was unchanged from the original estimate which in your case does not apply because you had additional items.

      We do record all calls and when Danielle contacted customer to go over the inventory customer stated it will be what it will be and she did not want to go over it at all and declined ..

      ********************************************* moved me from ************, ** to ******* ***** at the end of October 2021. It has been very hard to find this business on your site to file another complaint. I have filed with you two other times and the case keeps getting closed with no resolution. I finally was able to speak with ******************************* about my loss and he has informed me that my loss will only be covered by the free insurance which only pays 60 cents a pound. My largest complaint is about the items that were never delivered with my other items and the cost to replace them will well exceed the offer of 60 cents per pound. The missing items are as follows; Ego Backpack blower, Ego 5AH battery and rapid charger, a 500 PSI pressure washer, a 6 foot folding aluminum ladder, numerous personal items like framed family photos which can not be replaced. The delivery was supposed to take place on Wednesday October 27th 2021 and instead they came on Tuesday October 26th while we were still on the road from **. The only person who was at the residence was my grown daughter and she had no way of knowing what items were supposed to be delivered. They also arrived in the dark so they were in a hurry to unload and were very careless about how they handled my belongings and several pieces of furniture were damaged because they put them into the house upside down. They were also supposed to reassemble necessary furniture like the beds and tables which they also did not. If nothing else I would like to have them blacklisted if I cannot recoup any of the items I have lost because of them.

      This company is a joke. Several damaged items. These employees did not care about taking care in packing items or delivering the furniture. They also stood out in my front yard and driveway and smoked and threw the butts in my yard and driveway. They got in a ***** at end and damaged items caring less. Also reflected by the owner ****. I.wish I could go back and use another mover. I regret this company and all the damage they had done and did not want to pay to replace the damaged furniture. They wanted to repair it them selves. We moved in on 10/15/21 and we were still waiting on the repairs to take place. We finally did them ourselves. The ones that could be repaired. I.habe a lamp that was a $250 and he wants to give me $86 for lamp. Also we were suppose to be in Climate Control but yet they would not let us see our srorage unit! RED FLAG We had rodent waste in our boxes and blankets the furniture. But yet will not give us a credit. If we had been in a Climate Control we would not have had rat droppings in our boxes. It was disgusting. We want a fair refund. Owner just lies and makes excuses. I want to negotiate a fair settlement. They did not give us what we paid for.

      On 4/25/2021 ************ picked up our household items to be moved from our home in ************ ** to our home in ******** *******. The items were delivered on 5/9/21. Our items arrived in very poor condition, and multiple furniture items were broken and noted on the **** of lading on that day.We had packed the boxes ourselves so we knew that we could not claim damages for the contents of the boxes, but were horrified to see that they were completely smashed and had obviously not been handled with care! There were over $500 in damaged items from the contents of the boxes. I have moved many times and have NEVER SEEN such lack of care. It was shocking and obviously very upsetting.Our case was turned over to a claims company. We submitted photos of the damaged items along with the repair/replacement values of the furniture only (not the boxed content) conservatively valued at ******. After much delay they offered us $250.00 which is ridiculous! That would cover one of the 5 items. They told us if we wanted more we would have to take it to court. This was not something we were interested in doing. It has been over 4 months and we still have not received the $250. When we last checked we were told that the person who is handling our case is out on permanent disability. At this point we just want the promised $250 without further delay.       This moving company has left our lives in shambles, we're just starting to pick up the pieces of what they've done. They were one of the few to call and give me a quote on an out of state move. The person I spoke with reassured me that their prices are competitive because they don't sublease movers or trucks that they do it all themselves. First, they showed up on the day they were supposed to call and confirm for next day because they overbooked appointments. Second, they sent people to our home that couldn't speak English so they loaded items that I specifically told them doesn't go on the truck including items clearly marked. They charged a couple thousand extra for what they put on the truck that wasn't supposed to go on. Everything arrived completely damaged, including furniture, totes, boxes were crushed, all of our belongings. They didn't bring my mattress for 2 months after the time of pick-up and when they did set it on my front porch, it was completely destroyed. Somehow they managed to spill gas on our linens and other items we had to discard. Boxes were open and a good amount of items weren't received. We had received a box of someone else's dishware and consistently asked what to do with it. After contacting management after this life changing ordeal they were very unprofessional in response and no one has contacted me since. Awful Company! Do not trust what they claim and don't use them unless you want to start your life over from the start with everything you've worked hard to have because they will destroy it all with no care.
