Details: This insurance company had a person covered by them, run into the back of my stopped vehicle on August 1st, 2022 over ********* in damage and they decided to total my vehicle I did nothing wrong! I did nothing wrong.I claimed no medical expenses. They have given me nothing but a run around since August 2nd when I contacted them. nothing but unfair. They do business by low balling clients and playing the waiting game. What normal person could go this long without compensation and their vehicle. No one, thats how they get suckers. I have no lien holder and delivered a signed title to their company on Thursday. They try to tell you, its not our company its the other company. Pushed my claim off to a dump agent in ******* by the name of ****. Contacting my **** senator ************************* and **** congressman *************** with the **** insurance commission nextBusiness response

We are the agent for Portillas Towing & Hauling. On August 1st one of our insureds vehicles ran into the back of a vehicle owned by ************************ As soon as our agency was notified on 8/2/22 of the accident we reported the claim to the insurance carrier, KBK Insurance Company. We were notified that the claim was being handled by ********************* - ************ (ext. ****) - claim number KBAMG220800-45. From that point on the insurance company adjuster handles the claim and deals direct with the 3rd party claimant.
In checking the status of the claim with the adjuster ************* from KBK, the claim as paid along with the extended rental coverage for the period **************** was without a vehicle. We asked the adjuster to send us a summary of her notes on the account which we can forward when received.
Our agency performed exactly how they should of when notified of the claim. I believe the clamant is not happy with the settlement offer from KBK Insurance which caused her to make a complaint not understanding that Nottingham insurance is only an agent, not the company, and has no authority to settle claims.

I am rejecting this response because:
Nottingham insurance needs to hire a better adjustor to represent their company. ************* did not start.. the claim until 8/19/22, did not return phone call, informed me the claim could not be paid since her manager was out. The day I showed ** in person to copar storage facility and signed my original title over (I had no lien holder) is the day the check should of been issued. Then a Nottingham employee told me she would look into this and get back to me and she never did.
Just because you outsource this doesnt mean its ok to treat people badly sir.

Unfortunately Nottingham Insurance has no control over the insurance company services and their employees. Nottingham Insurance does not employ ************** We are only the insurance agent who placed the insurance for Portillas Towing & Hauling with KBK Insurance Company. We represent our insured and when they reported the claim on 8/2 we reported the claim to KBK Insurance Company immediately so Nottingham Insurance did what they were expected as the agent for the insured. There was no service problems or issues with how it was handled by Nottingham Insurance.
I am sorry that *************** had such a bad experiance with her claim but the complaint should be directed at KBK Insurance, not Nottingham Insurance. All the issues she had was with the response time from the *** Insurance Adjuster and the settlement of her claim. All of these issues are outside of what Nottingham Insurance controls.
