Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee into body shop for repairs from an accident. while it was there i showed them on the hood of the *** it appears that paint is bubbling and since it was there they could fix it while they have the truck, i would have paid that on my own. The owner of the body shop told me that to take it back to the dealer, if you are the original owner, which i am, they should cover it as it is faulty paint, its happening on Jeeps and also ***** I took it back to ********************************************* and they said my warranty expired and one service guy told me its because i live in ********** with the stone kicking up. but if that was the case i would have that all over the place and it would not be bubbling it would be chipped. I honestly don't feel a customers warranty should come into place when it was faulty paint. I maintained this *** and took exceptional care of my vehicle because i really wanted to take care of it incase i wanted to trade it in for a newer model which i was going to do. But if Jeep does not stand by their product its hard to rely on them. I know its not because i live in **********, as all states have rocks and pebbles , but again the whole truck would show signs of chips from "those rocks". Dont think that the customer is stupid or you can just tell them anything, lets get real. its just the hood of the truck that is bubbling and i really don't want it to turn all into rust because than it will really look horrible and i did not take all my time and effort for it to look that way. i really had no other issue with the dealer, in fact i like the dealer but this one issue. the dealer said that if Jeep gave them the ok they would take care of it, i called Jeep and they were of no help. Again i do not think this is the customers fault or because i live in ********** all i want is to be treated fairly
