Date of Transaction was 07/03/2024. The job was installing a new kitchen sink faucet. The workmanship was satisfactory, however, the price and the method in which the technician/pumber presented the the details of the job were not kosher. He came to my house for less than 5 minutes, and i told him what I needed. I am retired from an HVAC business, and i knew exactly what was needed. He said I need to go to **** ***** to pick out a new faucet with my own money. Anyway, when it was time to start the work, he *only* showed me the job continuance waiver where I would sign. He did not give me an estimate, nor did he list that he was charging me for a diagnosis cost that amounted to $125. Anyway when the plumber finished the job, he hit me with a bill / $453 and the fact, I had paid for faucet from my own, put the total cost over $500. I didn’t expect this and the manner in which he deflected the financial itinerary seemed fraud to me. I paid the plumber because I was entrapped into the deal with my signature on the job continuance waiver. I know I should have waited to get number figures before he started the job, but I never expected the deceit I encountered. He did didn’t leave me a job invoice but promised to email the invoice the following day. I never received the invoice, so I phoned the company and no one picked up, so I went to the Payless website and left my grievance online. The next day, the invoice was miraculously sitting in my mailbox, anyway, I know how much a new sink faucet would cost to install, and it certainly not $453, not including the faucet. I have several cost documents from local dealers, angi’s list and ****wyse. The labor ranged from $166 (low) to $201 (high) just for installation. The installation job supplies ranged $14 to $16. The unused labor ranged $52 to $63. The kitchen debris disposal costs were N/A - he left the old faucet at my house. This plumber/Technican had conned me big time.
