I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on 3/12/24 or 3/13. They informed me after purchase that the title was not ready and that once it was, they would call me. They did not call but wasn’t a big deal due to me not living too far away. I visited the dealership about 3 times, each time, my title was not ready. On the 4th visit, I was finally able to retrieve my title but was given to me 6-8 days after my temporary tags expired. I set an appointment to register my vehicle three days after I received my title because that was the only closest appointment.Two days before my appointment, the Newark police impounded my vehicle. I was upset but proceeded as I had my documents, I just need to get an earlier appointment. I checked back, saw an earlier appointment time and set it for the next morning. My father drove me to a DMV in Somerville. We went there to be told that I had not received all the paperwork I needed to register. We were told we had to go back to the dealership. So my father and I drove back to Irvington and we got there at 10:20, 10 mins before they’re scheduled to open. We approach the establishment to be met with someone who I’m unsure is even staff or not because he couldn’t help us with anything, informed us that someone would be there to help us in about 30 mins to an hour. An hour goes by and finally someone, who is the owner, arrived. We spoke to him, he stated that the paperwork I needed, someone else had and that we’d have to wait for them to also to come in. He stated 30-45 mins, she’d arrive. About 2 hours later, she arrives. By this point, I’m very upset, and rightfully so. The woman, who I later learn is the owner’s wife, asks me what’s needed. We explain to her what we’ve been explaining for hours. Another staff member questions why were so “hostile” proceeds to jump on my father’s face. I threatened to call the police. The owner’s wife and I have a back and forth.The owner I thought was trying to help, encourages his wife to assault me.
