I joined Retro gym . Im 67 and my husband is 75 . We joined to get out the house and exercise in a safe environment. I explained we were looking to get moving and relax. ***** the Trainer who oversees the new members. He introduces us to some things on the floor. Then he starts on a personal trainer and I told him No there was enough there for me to use. I just wanted to learn how to use the machine. I told him I was retired and wasnt trying to make any more bills . The ultimate plan was enough. He showed me trainer plan and . I told him I would try it for 1 month and my husband. You could show us how to use the machines and what procedure to do.He said ok I told him I would just do 1 month. And I paid for 1 month for me and 1 for my husband.***** never ever said you would be locked into a contract. Because I told him from the beginning I was not interested in any contract. I made it clear. So We paid $ ****** each give are take a couple dollars. ***** had us to sign and set us up for the training which started October 31 2022. He said we would receive a text soon. We were not aware at all that we signed a 6 month contract. Because I explained multiple times that I was not interested in being stuck. I have enough bills. And I was only willing to do the ultimate package. He just kept laughing and joking. They were very nice him and ******* . But now I see they convince you to try it knowing you are being locked in . Very Misleading and now I have a bad taste about Retro and it took me some time to join. I talked my friends into starting back. So pls. Straighten out this Issue. So I can continue Misleading a customer is not good for business. Word gets around. I was telling my co-worker to get fit . But now its be aware. Let ppl. Know people are on a budget now a days.Be Honest with people.Cancel the personal training. Customer Misled not made aware it was a 6 month contract. I told ***** I didnt want to be locked in a contract He Knew.
