I got the name of this business from **********/Car Shield. Theyve had my car for almost 4 weeks. I called Monday for information and **** told me to call back Friday. I called she said call back shes on lunch. I called back and she sent me to voicemail. Shes giving me the runaround about what I need to pay after Car Shield pays them. I dont believe my car needed a rebuilt transmission to begin with because it was driving fine but had a service message from the cars computer system. If she gave a quote to Car Shield why cant she give me numbers for my portion of the bill?Business response

************************* came to our shop on 8/8/22 as a referral from *********. We diagnosed the vehicle with a transmission problem which required rebuild or replacement. Customer has a 3rd party warranty company CarShield/*******************, which pays for covered repairs, but they require procedures to be followed which lengthens the process, they even sent an Inspector to our shop to confirm all of our findings. The customer may not believe her car needed a transmission but we found that the transmission fluid was burnt, there were metal shaving in the trans pan and CarShield agreed with and paid for transmission rebuild. Her car was complete and ready for pickup on 9/7. The vehicle was brought back when 2 fault codes appeared, but they were caused by a broken wire, which we repaired and returned to the customer last week. As far as we know the car is great and the customer is happy.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: They said my car was repaired and I picked it up on September 8 and it still had the same alert messages on the dashboard. They drove the car for some distance but said they didnt notice the yellow illuminated warnings before saying it was repaired and they did not reattach the undercarriage of my car properly. I took the car back and the hello illuminated warning and audio alert codes are removed from the dashboard. They said the alerts were caused by the wrong size tire on the vehicle and they changed the tire. Now my car has a shimmy in the front end when I drive and the steering is messed up. The car also has a difficulty driving up hill and I am smelling a burning scent that should have been present before needing a transmission not after a transmission repair.I will not be returning to this repair shop to correct the issues they caused for fear of them doing more damage to my car. I have not contacted the business to make them aware of the problems. I will have the car checked by another repair facility and if necessary contact an attorney.
I found this establishment to be unreliable, and dishonest and it is represented on their own documents provided to me. The owner **** was kind enough to pick up the tab for the last car rental I had while they damaged my car further.
