Been using Meyer & Depew for many years , up until 2-3 years ago all old employees out and new in, that goes for sales as well as service technicians Old sales and technicians was great , not no more I have maintenance contract on my mini-split system that blows out cold and hot air This past winter, mini split stopped working Called them to come out They said I had a small leak in the Freon and it wasnt covered They charged $665 to repair the leak because they said i only had coverage on the air not the heat This is ONE system that blows out both cold and hot air I said fine fix it and they did They said they would be back out in 5 weeks to check to see where leak was coming from They called and said cost would be $695 whether they find the leak or not never heard of such nonsense I understand there is a service call to come to your home , but $700????I never called them back and I will not Service contract I have with them is for 3 items, my mini split , central a/c and my new furnace I got 2 years ago from them All this was $800 with tax I asked for seniors citizen discount , they said no because I have the maintenance agreement which I paid for I still cant wrap my head around, the cost to come out to check the leak whether they find it or not would be $695 Doesnt make any sense whatsoever Keep away from Meyer & Depew

A little over 2 years ago we converted from oil to gas heat and hot water. We used the one payment plan of >$14,000.My wife and I are both, well north, of 65 and have medical conditions (Heart issues and Diagnosed stage 4 Cancer).We chose Meyer & Depew because it showed reflections of satisfaction by several reviews. We had a relatively good relationship with the company after installation was completed, Until December of last year we experienced no problems. Between December 2021 and January 2022 my wife experienced no heat seven (7) times; and no heat or hot water five (5) of those times. We have no heat or hot water for the last four days. We are glad--and fortunate--that we have an electrical stove to boil water, during this fourth (4th) day without heat or hot water.We expect, some time today, that they shall be here to, once again, "repair" the boiler.We have told Meyer & Depew that we are no longer interested in continual repairs but a new boiler. Not a "refurbished" boiler but a new boiler. The original sales person said he is trying "to make that happen". Shall be back later with how well that goes; and the experiences since then. Would love to upgrade this rating. Let's see what happens. *******************************************
