****** Rosales came to my home, gave an estimate for 4 brick steps to be built and tear down of the current wooden steps. He charged my $2500 for the job, which I gave in full when I came home to him working. (Big mistake to do that before job is done). He told my wife he would put up caution tape and he didn't. I also asked him while I caught him at the tail end of him leaving, when the railings would come. He said just a few days. Upon leaving, my wife found beer cans, bottle caps, nails (from the tear down), and other garbage left behind. I then noticed that the steps did not look level (WITH MY NAKED EYE)!! Sure enough, a level proved they were not even close (some downward direction is acceptable for rain runoff). I let him know about this before he was scheduled to come back and he apologized for it and then I asked him to keep me up to date with when the railings were to be put in. Upon even further inspection, I noticed that there was cracked mortar, mortar missing from joints on the side, and concrete stains all over the steps. The joints were not symmetrical either. A few days later I texted him (June 28th) to ask if the railings came yet, to which he replied "not yet" because he doesn't answer his phone. July 3rd, same thing. simple exchange. Then Wed July 5, I let him know that we need to talk because I wasnt happy with his work (i said the steps arent even close to level). His response- "Man you put a lot of complaints lock your patio first we can send level like your patio." What does that even mean!! I tried calling him but again he doesnt answer. So I asked him to clarify what that means. All I got was a thumbs up emoji. Then, this part Saturday, July 8, I asked "whats the update? You have all my money and still no response about the railing." He responded with the following: "You know what i'm going to cancel this order and i'll gave you $500 back." His crew was drunk, did terrible work, and then left me with a mess. Beware.
