I am compelled to share my profound disappointment with the appalling conditions of the apartment we leased. From the outset, we were greeted by a nauseating odor that persisted despite our efforts to rectify it. Managements response to our complaints was dismissive, attributing the odor to unused heating, which proved ineffective in resolving the issue.Maintenance efforts were inadequate and amateurish. The only action taken was replacing a metal grate on the living room vent, which failed to address the underlying problem. When our heating malfunctioned, vents in the basement were duct-taped, a makeshift & potentially hazardous solution. I possess photographic & video evidence documenting this substandard work.On June 30th, I reported a severe mold infestation in the basement, which had destroyed our stored belongings. The pervasive stench rendered the basement unusable and permeated the entire apartment, causing continual nausea and vomiting. Despite the urgent health hazard detailed in my email, no action was taken.To compound matters, upon our return on July 3rd, we discovered all windows open, signaling unauthorized entry. Our broom and air purifier were missing, suggesting an attempt to mask the odor and evade responsibility. Attempts to engage maintenance staff were met with evasion, confirming Scotts awareness of the situation detailed in my email and his failure to address it.Despite these egregious conditions, we have yet to receive our pet deposit or security deposit refund. The neglect and indifference exhibited by your management team are unacceptable. I demand immediate resolution of these issues and a full reimbursement of our deposits.Failure to address these concerns promptly will leave us no choice but to pursue legal action, including lodging a formal complaint with the housing authority, seeking compensation for mold exposure and theft, and notifying health and safety regulators.I insist on your immediate attention to this matter.
