      In OCTOBER I ordered a new shower from Bommer Plumbing in **************, **. I paid him $2,500 (and he damaged my bathroom so seeking $3,500). He never gave me a new shower and kept my money! He never installed anything - just came and did demolition - made a hole in my bathroom wall and I will now have to pay for the repair. He doesn't answer emails or phone calls. I leave messages and he doesn't call back. He robbed me of thousands of dollars - did not give me anything for the money I paid. I don't think he should be licensed to do plumbing in **.

      Upon signing the contract back in October, the homeowner explained that she wanted to purchase her own material so she could use points on her credit card. At some point down the line she changed her mind and never confirmed with our office that we would be ordering the material. As far as we knew she ordered her own material, which has been on back order so she would call when it was delivered. It has been very hard to reach her due to the fact that she has no voicemail, runs out of minutes on her phone and does not have access to email at her home.

       

      Homeowner called months later and explained she thought we had ordered the material. We offered to refund her money or place the order and continue with the project. The material not being ordered on our end was a misunderstanding. We apologized for the confusion and ordered the material right away upon her request.

       

      Unfortunately the size shower base that was needed in order to prevent further construction had been discontinued. We offered another solution, which required a little extra work and a slight increase in price. She decided she no longer wanted to proceed.

       

      We had also picked up a vanity purchased by the homeowner and transported to her home at the start of the project and offered to return it for her to the store as a courtesy.  She attempted to enter one of our trucks and ride to the home center with our technician. This is not allowed for insurance purposes and business liability. Our technician loaded it in her trunk instead so she could make the return.

       

      There is a hole in the wall and we offered on numerous occasions to take care of the damages and give the customer a full refund plus some to cover the inconvenience. This matter has since been resolved with the *********************** ***** and customer received a full refund plus an additional $100.00.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I NEVER said in October that I would order my own materials.  I don't know the first thing about installing a shower.  I am an older woman, in my 60's and not handy.  That was a TOTAL LIE on the part of Bommer Plumbing.  I thought it was taking long (supplies to come in) because of covid and when I contacted Bommer in MARCH, he admitted that he never placed the order.  I still had my email to him (OCTOBER) saying please place the order AS SOON AS POSSIBLE since I heard about shipping delays.  He NEVER placed the order at all six months later.

      He DID NOT return the vanity to ********** for me as a courtesy.  That was a LIE too.  I told him I didn't want to get it until he was ready to install it - I have no garage.  He said I must have it there when he came on Monday to install.  He came & did demolition - put a hole in the wall and then said he didn't have the right size shower to put in.   He left the big box vanity in my living room and took off!   After a  week, I said you have to get it out of my living room.  I told you I have no garage to store it.   The truck came and would not let me ride in the truck with it to **********.  They were going to a job after **********.  If I didn't go with them, I would have no receipt from the store to show I returned it if it didn't show up on my credit card ****.  So I had to return the vanity in my car myself.  It barely fit.  He DID NOT return it to the store for me as a courtesy as he said.

      I said he needed to return the money FROM OCTOBER (now April) if he didn't know how to put a shower in.  He did not answer emails or phone calls for months.  I am retired and home every day.  I told him he could reach me any time at my home phonw.  If I went out it was in the late afternoon.  I do read emails at the library but told them I can always be reached - every day at my home phone.  To say that I didn't have a phone that he could reach me at is RIDICULOUS.  I also read emails at the library three times a week and he never answered emails.

      I made THREE trips to the police ******* one in his town (Laurel ******** and two in my town (********) before he returned my money - over the course of several weeks.  He wasn't picking up the phone during business hours even from the police - screening his calls and avoiding them.   When I finally got a refund, it was what I gave him.  He did not pay for the damage /demolition he did in my bathroom when he came and said he didn't have the right size shower to put in.

      I have also filed a Complaint with the ** Attorney General.  He should not have a plumbing license and his business should be closed.  I have had big projects done at my house and have never experienced anything like it.  SO DISHONEST - even in his response to BBB.
