Went to RAI had an mri done paid out of pocket surgery was needed. Insurance company approved surgery and then said they would pay for mri. When I contacted RAI for info they said because we had insurance they had to submit it. I gave them insurance info and was told when they got insurance payment we would be refunded. Insurance paid them in August and they refuse to give me a refund after making several phone calls. I am owed $713.75 and they keep telling me they need more time to check it out

On July 12th I checked into ****************** I was paying cash for a scan test to be done. Per the hospital I had to have a script by a dr. So I brought that document. So I entered on July 12th for my scheduled test. I approved to the amount and to have the test done by ****************** I paid in full to have the test. The test was performed. A few days later I got the test on a CD to bring to my doctor for review. On August 4th my wife gets a text from a company called Radiology Affiliates Imaging that we have a bill with them and its due in less then 30 days for 113. We were never informed of this company. We were never asked to release any medical or personal information to this company. My wife called them and they said they would investigate and it would be 45 days however the bill is due in less then a month. Every 7 days a text would come requesting money. Then the paper bills started. After hours with St Marys and them saying they have nothing to do with the bill and Radiology saying we are investigating and escalating. We have spend hours on the phone with both. On Aug 21st **** told us that we should not have gotten this bill but it would take 2 weeks to have it removed. She stopped the text messages. After more calls to Radiology Company as we are still getting bills, still being told it has escalated, still being told a manager will call us, and still being told it is under investigation. This month we get a bill saying final and it is going to collections. I never requested the service. I never authorized ******** Hospital *********, ** ***** to release any medical or personal information. I signed a signature pad to say yes to the having test. Nothing else was said or explained. I paid for the test in full. Why are they allowed hidden fees and to not respect HIPPA? If this is actually part of the test then why was this not disclosed. All services and costs should be explained. This test is not covered by any insurance.

I had an annual mammogram on 6/28/22. RAI did not **** ******** at first. They ****ed me the full amount. Then they ****ed my medigap insurance which denied them because they never ****ed ******** as the primary. I gave them my insurance information to be sure they had it. Then they ****ed me again. I called ******** and they said I was fully covered, there was no reason why they should be having this problem. Then apparently they did **** ******** but continued to **** me. It looks like they can't find their payment and that they don't post payments when they get them. I faxed to them today the payment summary from ******** and hope they understand that since ******** has already paid them in full, they are not supposed to **** me for more than the ******** allowed amount. I owe 00. according to ********.
