Eli Financial Group prematurely canceled my auto insurance due to a missing document leaving him stranded. After carefully talking to the customer representative who informed my daughter it was canceled in April due to proof of homeownership. The policy was paid in full for six months (11/08/2022 to 05/08/2023) and was cancel due to a missing document that acquired him a small discount.Business response

This email is on good faith to solidify factual material regarding the auto policy in question.
On 11/7/2022 my office finalized a policy for the insured effective 11/8 and walked him through the on boarding process which is the required documents and signatures we need for the auto the policy. One of the documents we needed was proof of homeownership for the homeownership discount Allstate on auto policies for clients that are homeowners. On December 18th 2022, at 11:28 am, our customer service made a phone call to the client asking for the document needed to satisfy the policy. we also sent the client a follow up email requesting the same document and had no luck in getting a response. With that being said, the client paid their policy in full for the 6 months of $374.57. The homeownership discount was removed midterm on 12/27/2022 which made the policy go up to $466.71 for 6 months. Being that the discount was removed on 12/27 for lack of documentation, we only needed $28.01 to satisfy the auto policy. There was enough premium to sustain until 4/13/2023 and being that $28.01 was not paid the policy is cancelled and can not be reinstated. We have sent multiple notices via mail and email 1/18/2023 and 04/22/2023 advising the client of the premium thats owed. There are no refunds at this time as there is a past due bill and the premium paid has been exhausted.
