    After my experience with dealing with the company Gold Standard Bathroom I feel it is my obligation to warn people from working with this company. Although my kitchen looks ecstatically pleasing it was largely due to the owner that I discourage people from using the company. We had a terrible experience with the owner *****, who we hired to do a straight forward kitchen renovation. He dragged out our project for months, to where we actually went days/weeks without anyone coming to do work in our kitchen and no communication on when someone will be there. For example 6/6 was the last day we had someone until 6/17). When confronted he tried to justify it. He started my kitchen on 4/19 and did not complete till 7/7. When we look up this company on the Better Business Bureau you will not only read similar experiences but ***** has a history of abandoning jobs. This caused us to bite our tongue when he was nasty and dismissive when we had concerns because who wants to deal with an unfinished kitchen and having to go to court?In addition to his lack of management and organizational skills, he is unprofessional. He took an unauthorized $500 from my account and attempted to justified it. He asked me to pay $5,000 and instead he took out $5,500. He than threatened to hang up the phone on me because I confronted him on it. ***** believes he is never wrong. If his workers damage something he will find a way to make it not their fault. They broke my drain and he never offered to replace it. ********************* communication skills. He hardly replies to texts or calls and when he does it is vague answers. But if he wants that money from you he will hound you for it. He creates a pay scale where you pay for majority of the job. This allows him to have a power over the homeowner to where he can do your job in drips and drabs. Things turned around after my husband got verbally aggressive with him. I can go on and on. So when renovating use someone else.

    We thank you for your review. We strive to make everyone happy at all times. Unfortunately, some people are never happy. We have numerous text messages and communication from you that states otherwise, thanking us for the work and how nice it looks. We didnt supply you with finish material on your project as you decided to get cabinets, countertop, and flooring all from different vendors. Your cabinets came in damaged and we needed to wait for your countertop to be installed as well. You asked us to get involved in helping you with cabinet vendor in which we did as we shouldnt have to. You also asked us for help with different vendors that we use.(IE electrician and fabricator.)With all these delays on your end we still finished within the time frame allotted on your contract. Our contracts and payment schedule not only protects us but protects you as the customer. To date, we still have not received final payment for this project. Please forward final payment to us so we can close out project.

    I am so glad you responded! In addition to being a poor professional it seems like you also struggle with reading. I said in my post that my kitchen looks pleasing. That is credit to your workers not YOU, you were hardly there . You let a Leak go under my sink for three weeks, your workers fixed it because you didnt or couldnt. My issue is with YOU and how you dragged out this project and how absolutely inconsistent and rude you were. If I were you I would not bring up text messages because than everyone gets to see how rude, dismissive and invasive you were. Hey ***** its been over two months I need my kitchen to be finished this week ***** - are you giving me an ultimatum?. Remember that? Hey ***** will you guys finish the job this week ? Its been three months tentatively lol. Your reply also makes no sense. I brought up nothing about my cabinets in my original post. You are grasping at straws. Thank God I got my stuff from a different vendor. Having to deal with you any more than I had to would have been torture. You dont do a pay scale that benefits me. You took money for shoe molding in mid May and didnt put it in till the end of June. Be accountable! You will get your final payment when you reimburse me for the drain your workers broke. I dont care if was made from paper, you broke it replace it! And fix the electrical outlets under my cabinets like you should that was even sugggested by your own electrical consult.

    and the fact that youre using my cabinets as your excuse makes me laugh and it confirms how unprofessional and unethical you are. You waited two days in May for my cabinets to come in. So whats your excuse for my kitchen being done in mid July? Further, when you started work on my floor the cabinets were ready to be delivered and I was waiting for you to tell me the day you want them to be delivered. Yes those 2 cabinets came in damaged but that did not hold you up because I have those damaged cabinets hanging ** in my kitchen right now. You hung them up so dont lie and make it like the cabinets held you up 2 months LOL. The vendor I got my cabinets from reached out to the cabinet manufacturers for replacement parts to which the vendor will come and install them. I have photos to prove that and delivery receipts , etc. The counter was ordered. You told me you had to wait for the countertops to be in before any further construction. That was just you buying time because According to your workers they said that did not need to happen. Also why does countertops need to be in for shoe moulding to be done, or hardware on cabinets installed? All excuses.
