      I had my wife's landrover lr4 in for service about 3 weeks ago . The truck was in for a recall for some kind of gas valve which took about 5 months to get an appointment ( parts were delayed). After I got home I smelt gas in my garage and called the dealership. I was assured that it was normal because they had to drop gas tank . My wife took truck to work and when she got home the smell was terrible. Again I called landrover. Now this is second call a day after and again I was told this is perfectly normal. That next morning ( Friday now ) I told my wife to take my rangerover sport because the smell was so bad I didn't want her driving my kids to school again and also having to then drive herself to work. I took her truck to my mechanic and a code came up ( sensor having to do with work landrover did ). My mechanic smelt gas and Said just take it to them because he didn'twant to touch what they started. Again I called from my mechanic and the gentleman put me in hold and went to speak to a mechanic. They said bring it Monday so I drove home. When I got to my house and pulled in garage and it smelt like someone poured gas all over so I raised the *********** have a video of gas pouring out under truck. Called landrover flipping out because my wife and kids were in this truck all week. I was told call fire department and triple A. I had to push truck out of garage and pray it didn't catch fire because I just drove it for 40 minutes home. After all this you know what landrover said? . They said since my other truck was coming in for service thar they would balance my wheels for free. DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP. Service people are nice but mechanic's stink and could have killed my family or burnt down my home. They also told me I have a problem with my truck ( not the leaking gas lr4) that would cost close to $7000 to repair. Called my mechanic and he called landrover Monmouth. The part cost around $2600 and they could do job for $ ****. They are terrible.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I reached out to manager who has been very helpful but I had truck at 2 other shops and I'm being told I don't need a certain part in the repair. I just want to see what price would be to do job without that extra piece and if I'll still get the discount?

      Hi. I hope this email finds everyone well. Our client did bring his Land Rover LR4 in for a recall concerning the fuel ******. We performed the recall and client took possession of his vehicle. Because of the recall there could be a gas smell in the vehicle. The fuel filler neck developed a leak which we repaired. He also brought his other Land Rover in for us to take a look at. Because of what he went through on the first Land Rover we didn't charge him for the diagnosis and we road forced balanced his tires at no charge. His other Land Rover is in need of a rear differential and a driveshaft carrier bearing. The rear differential is the cause of most of the vibrations he is experiencing but the driveshaft carrier bearing is also contributing to this. We offered a $1200 discount. We certainly wish the best for our client and his family. Thank you.

      The problem I have is that first of all it took 3 calls and the fire department to finally get them to take truck in. A week of calls and of my family driving in truck. I have over $1000 in damage in garage between parking mat and new floor that was just done( and I have pictures), and that alone is something I shouldn't have to pay for. Like I said the manager was great( with trying to help with my other LR) but these big corporations just take advantage of people and the same job that landrover was giving me this big discount on , I'm getting done still cheaper with all landrover parts for less. So now landrover gets away with really endangering my family and I'm paying less at a dealership that works on ******** Porsche etc and landrover don't even have to pay for damages? I know they rebalanced brand new tires on brand new rims that I just had purchased and put on a week prior? If the were going to discount my service $1200 then at least give me$1000 for my damages.
