Easily the worst company Ive ever done business with. Paid over $1500 for termite removaland I still have termites and the photos to prove it that theyre still in my house crawling around. They dont call you back and they dont have customer service. They only showed up twice and they shouldve been coming four times in a year. The only thing theyre good at it is sending a new bill for a New contract and they are not going to get it. They were a nightmare from day one where they double billed me $3000 and I could not get a hold of anybody to get it fixed. I had to call for over a month to finally get somebody on the phone and they kept on blowing me off. I had to sit on the phone with a manager to try to get them to fix this with the financing company because they didnt know what they were doing and I shouldnt do that as a customer.

If I had filled this out a week ago, I would have given 4 stars.Horizon has been our pest control service for nearly 11 years.Recent treatment was not done on the day scheduled so noone was home for them to come in and treat. We had to call and schedule another visit. Ok. Mistakes happen. This past week we noticed a lot of spiders. I had to be away for a family situation. My boyfriend is home and called to schedule. The appt was for yesterday. The tech called me from tge road ro let me know he was on the way. Nice guy. We chatted. He was told the visit was about mice. I thought it was about spiders. I called my boyfriend. He informed me there was SOMETHING in a glue trap in the den and he wasnt sure what it was. The tech arrived. The tech left the house. Bf called me and said it was a bat.At that moment alarms went off in my head. I had had a bat encounter in the house in Jan 2011 and had talked to police and involved the health department so I know what SHOULD be done. I told BF to stop him from leaving. It was me screaming at BF on the phone because he was going to him and not hearing me. He talked to him, which I could barely here in the distance from the phone. Bf finally got on the phone and i got him to put me on with the tech.I explained to the tech that the bat HAD to be tested by the health **** as a matter of health codes and safety. Noone had seen the bat come in. It was dead in the trap. Tech said he would bring it to the office. I told him I needed to hear from them and the bat had to be tested. I phone Horizon and talked to admin who left a message for supervisor to call me.When the call came in, the alarms in my head got MUCH more intense. This supervisor was not listening to me. Was not understanding my perspective and insisted he was.He had told the tech to throw it out!!!!! He cant get it back. It happened many times before with customers(customers who apparently didnt know better). Horizons protocol (a company whose stated purpose is pest control, who acknowledges that their traps do catch bats) is to throw out the bats. He says it isnt their job to test it.Ok. Then I would not have known THEIR protocol was to violate health codes and put clients at risk. The tech should have left the dead bat for us to call the health department or throw out. The supervisor said whenever they get an animal they are not intending to, like a bat, it gets thrown out.Now I have to talk to health department. My boyfriend and I may need to get ****** post exposure vaccinations and this is because of this companys behavior. The supervisor (supposedly professional pest control) INCORRECTLY claimed that the bat has to be alive to be tested. Not true. Better to keep it alive (last time I put the bat which had been injured by the police officers baton into a plastic container with breathing holes and the health department picked it up) but ANIMALS MUST BE KILLED/Euthanized to be tested for rabies. They must test the ****** Even a simple search turns up all of this. I cant believe that this happened. I need to get MORE vaccines now. While not even home, and just before getting the flu vaccine, a likely covid booster, a blood test, and likely blood donation, because of this negligence! Now I also have to check if this possible exposure precludes a blood donation, which I have been doing many times since April 2020. (And I am a needle phobic)I may also talk to a lawyer.I strongly suggest that Horizon fix their protocols, explain to customers (since they are supposed to be the experts) that they will leave the trapped bat with the homeowner in a container provided by the homeowner and that the homeowner should call the health **** to pick it up.My stress level is 10 x what is was before that call, and it was far too high before.
