On November 2, 2023 I went to eastern dental for an exam and deep cleaning. On November 20, 2023 1/2 of deep cleaning was complete and I was advised my responsibility was $115.00 which I paid via credit card. On November 21, 2023 the 2nd half of deep cleaning was completed and I was charged another $115.00 for my responsibility. Eastern Dental was then paid on December 19,2023 in full by Aetna ( *********** educators plan). Its now March 22, 2024 after multiple calls to Eastern Dental their billing department continues not to return the money I paid up front because according to their calculation I would owe a total of $230.00. The billing department admits they were paid but continues to use every excuse in the book ( did not get paid yet, wasnt applied, applied to wrong account, applying 1/2 to spouses account - she never went to this dentist, to blaming accounts payable, to needing approval, etc.,etc.) in addition to always being put in queue for lengthy periods of time. Tried call back option a couple of times but no one calls back. . As of this date still no check in the mail. You would think the *********** and ***** would team up with more reputable firms. I need help getting my money back. Only other step I am contemplating is small claims court in **********. So to anyone going to this group, my advice is to check with your insurance on your responsibility and only give them that amount. Better suggestion is to find a dentist where an issue like this is not a problem.
