******* center: deceptive, rude, evasive, unconcerned with customer satisfaction. After failing to disclose a $185 charge to look at the acceleration problem with my 2016 Forester, they only disclosed this to me after I drove 1/2 hour to get there. When I expressed that I was unhappy with the lack of transparency by telephone later (I declined the service), the service advisor was reluctant to identify himself (would not even give me his first name until I asked politely several times). He was evasive, borderline rude, and completely unconcerned that they were losing a six year customer. Run away.

Subaru of Morristown is committed to full disclosure of diagnostic fees when confirming appointments which include a requested diagnosis. We were concerned by your statement in this review that we had not disclosed the fee before you came and we reviewed our appointment scheduling records and confirmation emails. The first appointment you scheduled was done over the phone with our automated scheduler and we found an email sent the next day to you which disclosed the diagnosis fee. When you revised your appointment on the phone with one of our schedulers, the confirmation email sent the next day also disclosed the diagnosis fee. We are surprised by your review as do not see how we were deceptive and evasive as regards the diagnosis charge. As our Service Manager indicated to you when she called, we would like to do all we can to work with you to service your 2016 Subaru.

Not only do they selling cosmetically damaged cars brand new but they also selling structurally damaged cars! I bought a WRX in may 2023 brand new from factory not only were the seat scuffed up but also three paint chips on the exterior. Their remedy was to order a paint touch-up stick and have me do it, also 3 months in I have structural factory defect in the firewall that caused interior flooding, which they are fighting me on

The vehicle did not have "structural damage" at the time of sale on May 17, 2023. The customer brought the vehicle to our ****************** for maintenance on July 8 and October 14, and our records indicate that the customer did not: raise concerns about structural defects, or paint chips and interior scuff marks, at either visit. The vehicle was brought in on October 21 for a leak in the front of the passenger area. Subaru of Morristown immediately placed the customer in a 2023 model year loaner vehicle, at no charge, and arranged for a Subaru factory technician to come to the dealership to diagnose the leak. On October 30 the factory technician diagnosed the leak, replaced the inner tube that was the source of the leak, and tested the vehicle to confirm the leak had been eliminated. The vehicle required another week to be fully repaired as the replacement carpet was on back order. The customer was in a complementary loaner vehicle the entire time. We understand the customer's frustration and concern. Our service manager contacted the customer frequently during the repair process to keep them informed of the status of the vehicle.

After servicing my car at this dealership, I received an email asking me to provide them my feedback. When I tried to click on 1, 2 or 3 stars, I got misdirected to a "dealer not found" page, through an However when I tried to click on 4 or 5 stars, I got correctly directed to the dealer rating website. This is a highly deceiving practice, blocking the intent to leave negative reviews, while allowing only the positive ones to go through. This is not and error. It's intentional, and it can be verified by analysing the code embeded in the email body.Don't trust a company attempting to fake its rating in such a shameful way!

I wish I'd read these before going. I went once for an oil change, recall and battery check and felt they did a good job, so went back again for an oil change and this time with the class action settlement authorizaiton for work also. I'll try to summarize the issues in the limit:1. They had me sign that I authorized the $149 diagnostics test and will pay it. They never ran the test, only a battery check (which takes all of 30 seconds). When I picked up the vehicle and asked for the full report, they told me they'd find it by morning. I even gave them an out saying "if you didn't do it, I'm happy to leave my car another night for you to do it..." but they swore it had been done (it hadn't). 2. They tried to charge me for the diagnostics test saying I had signed the authorization for it the day before. When I reminded them the class action settlement covered it and luckily I had spoken with the claims **** for the settlement and they would escalate if needed, they finally waived the fee (were they incompetant or double dipping the cost? unsure).3. I complained the dome lights were out - they told me they needed replacing. I bought my own and turned out they were just loose, they never checked before quoting me the work. I returned the $6 bulbs. Cost for me: $0, time: 60 seconds. 4. The ** didnt match the battery test provided didn't match their quotes for work needed.5. They told me I could only use their $450 ($542 installed) battery for replacement, that was a lie. 6. When I pointed all this out and more, never got a call or e-mail back. I posted publically and others have come forward with the same complaints. They've lost a few more customers bc of me.Ironically, they could have gotten the diagnostics test and battery replacement paid for by the settlement claim, but again either didn't understand it or tried to double dip, so now they lost that ~$700 and I went elsewhere and filed my own claim. I own two subarus and buying one this year, but never there.
