Horizon has cancelled the fall service tune up for the second time pushing me now to December. Closer to winter than fall with the emergency reason. My last appointment was on a Saturday in October and when they didn't show I up called and they said it was due to emergencies and that appointments scheduled for the weekend normally got cancelled. So I made the appointment for a Tuesday and I got cancelled again. Horrible company and I would not use them again to have anything installed in my home.Review from Joann B

First off they don’t even deserve one star. Horizon Services, beware, and be alert. On Monday 10/23/23 I had them out here to have my furnace cleaned and tuned up for the winter season. To my surprise, the Horizon technician that perform the cleaning and tune up informed me that it could be very dangerous to operate any longer, and that deadly carbon monoxide is leaking 4X over the average into my home........ His company rule was to turn my furnace off completely, he advised me not to turn it back on. I paid him the $59 special to complete the task and he said I will have someone come out today to give you a quote for a new furnace and that I shouldn't waste any time. That I should have it replaced ASAP… Now if my furnace was leaking deadly gases into my home, why would you only turn off the emergency switch mounted on the heater. Why wouldn't you turn the gas valve off also? It’s going to cost $16-$24,000 to replace the whole furnace and AC unit and we can come out tomorrow, Is what the technician said. So I was not happy, they scared everyone talking about the carbon monoxide and the thought of having to spend so much money on a furnace that runs very well and efficient. When I told him that I had a homeowners warranty, he told me that they will not do anything if It’s still turning on and working. I immediately called my homeowner’s warranty for a second opinion, while he was still here and had him explain to them what he told me. The tech came over on Friday 10/27/23 and spent over an hour fixing what they damaged and was not able to find any carbon monoxide. He even commented how good the furnace was running and firing well.Review from PA M

Very knowledgeable about all my HVAC issues. Always listen to what I have to say about any problems that I have. Always ask if I need anything else that I might need about the (Heater,Air Conditioner or the Hot Water Heater.Review from Mike I

I received a past due invoice on 8/1/23. The amount owed was 90 days past due and that it was invoiced on 5/19/23. There were NO notes as to what the invoice was for, only that my address was listed. I searched my email for this invoice number in case I missed it at one point, but I did not find anything. This was the first I've seen of this invoice. I never contacted Horizon this year. They were previously here in 2022 to fix a part on the air conditioner, and in 2021 to look into an issue with a leak. I called the office and they told me it was for annual maintenance that I had to schedule each year. I NEVER opted into this service. If this started in 2021, I was NOT notified in 2022, and I'm now hearing about it in 2023. The person I spoke with said they canceled it, so I assume that means I do not owe anything, especially since no services were rendered. I chose this company for convenience but from now on I will be possibly using a local small business.Review from William H

I think horizon should learn to communicate much better with there technicians. My wife and I decided to upgrade our 22 year old HVAC system that is when we called Horizon in April 2022, their salesman was personable and knowledgeable but did not communicate well with their technicians we agreed that our ac unit would be raised 18" off the ground to protect it from the onslaught off the landscapers equipment , when the installers arrived and started working I brought up that they were to raise the ac unit off the ground 18 " and that they don't do that, round 1. I call the salesman who then called his boss now there are several technicians and supervisors trying to decide what to do, finally getting a phone call led them to do what was agreed upon . It is now October 2022 and we needed to run the heater to take the chill out of the house we turned it on only to find out it doesn't work, round 2, Horizon sent a tech to correct the issue Oct 5, he did not have the right parts, round 3, Oct 6, they sent another tech who did not have the right parts round 4 , it is now Oct 21, round 5 they sent another tech who did not have the right parts a motherboard which was suggested when I scheduled my appointment and verified by tech #2 and now tech # 3 we are still without heat were told that they don't know how long it will take to get one , did I mention we were charged almost $15,000 for this system . They got there money my wife and I got an empty bank account.Review from Linda N

I had schedule appt for maintenance in June and was given an appt 9/30/22 they call me today 9/29 to say it had to rescheduled but not till November - why call early if this happens . I paid alot of money for unit from Horizon that I take good care of and do not want to wait till November. Why was I told to call early for appts to have this done when I took off of work to be there tomorrow. Very bad customer service.Review from Sunilkumar P

Bad, highly costly,100%scam on service,charge $600 for $15 part even not necessary to replace ,scared with hypothetical breakdown on ur AC,HVAC ,Never trap with $50 tune up with free 1 lb refrigerant,they set up to pay more and force to buy their agreement.bettter go for handyman, at least he want cheat you.Review from Brian B

Never fixed the minor faucet leak I had, because tech "didn't have the parts" but" it's simple you can do it yourself". Yeah, if you're a plumber. Told me to call with any questions about the faucet repair. I've called / emailed 4 times with no response. Tried to get me to spend up to $3000.00 to get two new sinks with all the works. They will take your money and run. Horrible customer service!Review from Domenique J

Horizon came out to check our AC and tried to Charge us $850 dollars on top of a $150 dollar service charge for a part that cost $18 and took my husband 20 minutes to replace. This company price gouges and I feel bad for people who cannot fix small repairs and have to deal with companies taking advantage.
