      Summit Health billing department is deplorable. I continue to receive past due notifications regarding a balance that was paid in full in May 2024. Now starting to receive threats of being sent to collections. I've made 5 phone calls to the billing department, 2 calls to the office manager and sent multiple emails with proof of payment attached. They have all information necessary to rectify the issue, but no one wants to take ownership. Their employees are indifferent and incompetent.

      Summit health and accordingly its billing ***** is terrible. They will overbill you due to using the wrong coding, or specifically choosing a higher cost coding due to their own choices (like charging for a 45 min visit, when it was only close to that time due to making you wait in the room alone for nearly 40 min until you see the doc for 5 min). They refuse to fix it, will not adjust any of the costs, and won't escalate to supervisors. They claim they will speak to a supervisor to get them adjusted but then do nothing. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

      Summit Health is a sad reflection of everything that is wrong with our American healthcare system today. Refused to acknowledge payment from my insurance provider despite providing the explanation of benefits and personally following up with calls, emails and ultimately an in-person visit. Despite having received payment several months earlier, they sent my bill off to a collections agency. Their billing department refused to acknowledge the documentation and would not follow up with my insurer for clarification despite being an in-network provider.

      I have spoken to multiple Billing Agents at Summit Health regarding a billing issue and all of them promised to further investigate and call back but never did. When I called them back, the new agent would say they have no record of me calling, they can't connect me with the agent I was talking to, and I have to explain the issue over and over and over again, with no call back again. I tried calling ************************ Relations and was put on hold for over a hour and half and then was disconnected. I sent an email to the **************** ********************** asking for someone to get back to me. I never heard back from them and left them three voicemails. What are you supposed to do when a billing issue cannot be resolved and the customer service or patient relations ********************** ignores your calls and emails? I guess you go to doctors that are not part of Summit Health. Summit Health has really gone down hill in the last year.

      After summit health was bought out by another company their billing practices drastically changed.For over a year now when you see a doctor and pay your copay they will apply that money to another doctor you have seen.When you pay a podiatry bill by check written out to said doctor they will apply it to your cadiologist.So you never really know who or what you owe.I would imagine if I wrote a check out to one doctor and they apply it to another that would be against the law.I had all my doctors under summit health but I will never see another summit health doctor again because of billing practices started last year.

      Summit billing **** is the worst. You over billed me due to you using the wrong coding. You wont fix it you wont get me a supervisor this is ridiculous.

      I visited The Orthopedic Group (*********************) for the first time early Feb after checking the Doctor is part of my insurance network. My knee hurt and I believe I had a ******* cyst. After the Doctor reviewed the x-rays, I was told it was not arthritic and nothing much I can do about the cyst until it bursts. In early April, I received a bill to pay over $400. I checked my insurance site on reason for the high costs for the non x-ray itemization which was $300+ (insurance discount 17% only) just for the Doctors assessment and no treatment. The insurance provider states that it's allowable. I cannot believe this extreme cost for an assessment by the doctor. How is Summit Billing allowed to charge these high rates? I wish I had visited this page before choosing this place.

      Service is horrible. Call to set up appt does not work My doctor ****** is not out of network and I can't obtain illness appt. On line appts does not work. Major issue.

      went for bloodwork! was transferred to Summit Medical Group in ********* by *************** across the street . Nurse was very rude and did not make me feel safe . I wish I would have gotten her name ! They took me very fast. I was in and out but service was bad . The receptionist was very nice tho !

      This was the most unfortunate experience of my life. I went due to health issues and have been falsely accused of making physical threats to the office manager, ******. I have contacted the local police department and they are aware of this and i will never return to any of these practices ever again. I will find another provider who actually cares and won't make up insane lies and accusations of my character.
